Wedded Bliss

Not my wedding of course! My friend Nicki's. She's older than me by enough years that it's not too scary I have friends getting married just yet...

The Bride and Groom (in a horse drawn carridge! Oh yes, that is the way to travel!)

It was a really gorgeous ceremony - it felt very intimate, they were married under a gazebo outside in the grounds of a large mansion house near where we live in Bristol with maybe 50-60 guests. It had been a bit cloudy in the morning but the sunshine came out just as the bride was about to walk down the aisle - perfect!

Nicki of course looked amazing. She's not really a girly girl, which I think made her look even more beautiful in her wedding gown.

Anyway, the important bit - what I wore!

P1020835 P1020877

Pink Ra-Ra Dress - Miss Selfridge
Top Hat Fascinator - Accessorize (gift from my flatmates)
Gold Shoes - Topshop
Black Scarf - made by my mother
Handbag - Chanel (Birthday gift!)
Butterfly Earrings - gift from my mother
Watch - Marc by Marc Jacobs

In the second photo as you can see my hat grew rather! Actually one of the bridesmaids stole mine to try it on, so I naturally had to steal a complete stranger's hat to make up for it!

I won't be posting much over the next two weeks, exams have kind of taken over my life and The Fear(tm) has really set in! But I should be back and better than ever after that!

The picture with the bride and groom in the horse-drawn carriage looks like an absolute fairytale. And I'm so glad the sun came out just in time! :)

And you look SO pretty! Love your outfit. I'm glad you explained about the hat - for a minute I thought it had magical powers or something!

Love the dress and the fascinator! It's hat-worthy, yet quirky and cool. And I'm totally jealous of the Chanel handbag - one of my ultimate fashion aims!!!!!!! You look lovely!
