Markus Lupfer

Have you ever had that moment of clarity when looking at a designer's collection and thinking 'Yes! That is exactly what I want to dress like'? I get that feeling quite a lot (which probably explains my hotchpotch style!) but my most recent fashion moment was thanks to Markus Lupfer, who's Autumn/Winter 2009 lookbook gave me the strangest desire to go out and buy t-shirts and jumper dresses, like right now!

He's a London based designer who launched his own label in 1998 and quickly found success, even creating a range for Topshop in 1999! Unfortunately unless he does more for Topshop I think I'll be resigned to a Markus Lupfer 'inspired' look though. I love his grown-up modern take on basics like t-shirts and sweaters combined with exciting skirts and jackets. It probably helps that the model is gorgeous too!

I like these. The clothes are very mature and are definitely in line with the direction I want to take my style now. Will definitely be checking out more of him.

I love the way you just described that feeling; for the moment I glanced upon this post, I experienced it myself. These are such lovely designs. The aesthetic is heavenly - loving the color schemes. It's like a more subdued Blair Waldorf. Stunning! :)
