Poppy Appeal

Are you wearing a poppy this November? I've got mine, actually I've had several, I keep losing them!

(I know there have been accusations flying around the media of 'poppy facism' and of people feeling forced to wear poppies, or just wearing them for the sake of it. I'm wearing mine because I want to help support soldiers and their families, and because I hope remembering the casualties of WWI and WWII as well as more recent wars will make people think twice about starting more conflict, big and small.)

I wouldn't dream of not wearing my poppy at this time of the year. It's just the done thing; to show your support of soldiers and families of soldiers past and present.

I also wear mine because I know my Mum would KILL me if I didn't.

I've had mine on since the first day I saw them being sold. My family has quite a few military links, and my best friends husband is in the Navy, so I wear mine proudly.
I was pretty annoyed though today that not only does noone in my office wear poppies, but noone else did the 2 min silence!
