Things I Love Thursday

I won a Giles Deacon for cadbury's scarf! It may be said that I wasted way too much of my life refreshing facebook and panic clicking on various internet popup shops to do so, but I say it was worth it! If the postal strike doesn't stop it arriving of course...
Browsing through the archives of my favourite blogs for inspiration. There are so many talented people out there *gush* I'm overloading myself with beautiful pictures right now!
Halloween. Did you have fun? I have to say I didn't dress up this year but spent the evening curled up on the sofa in front of 'scary' films - or at least the only ones I can cope with being The Mummy and The Corpse Bride!
Bonfire Night. This is hands down my favourite holiday! It's generally free as you can usually find a fireworks display nearby, and if you do want to spend a pound or so you can get loads of sparklers which are just about the best things ever. Plus it's so uniquely British, what oher country would celebrate someone trying to blow up their Government?
Seeing so many poppies about. Is it me or are more people than ever wearing them this year? It's good to see so many supporting such an important cause.
A successful trip to the dentist, phew! I'm not scared per se, but it would be horrible to have no teeth I think so it's always nice to know I've staved that off for a bit longer! Must floss more though..
A weekend in my own home! I feel like I'm constantly on the move at the moment, so it's nice to be still for a bit (and get all my washing done!)
Having a job! I've just recieved all my joining instructionsfor my new job, and am busily getting on with my pre-start reading (and quizzes, eek!). I'm so pleased to be finally starting (at the beginning of december), I am so ready to get on with the next stage of my life, and to be able to afford to shop again, hurrah!

Congratulations on the new job and on winning the scarf - I won one too, I can't wait for it to arrive! It got a little stressful at times getting to the end of the queue just in time for the shop to close and move on!

Yay on the new job!!!
I won the Giles Deacon scarf as well!!! I spent 4 hours online, and definitely understand about refreshing the facebook page and panic clicking, lol. But so worth it.

I love Bonfire night as well. We always spend the saturday in the local park watching the fireworks display. Bonfire night is definitely one of the best days on the calender.
