I am loving my Love Film account at the moment - I am suddenly getting up to date with all the films I wanted to see but missed at the cinema! Earlier this week I finally watched Glorious 39, an amazing World War II thriller. It stars Ramola Garai as the adopted daughter of a wealthy established English family on the eve of the War as she discovers how far people are prepared to go to protect their way of life. The cinematography is gorgeous, and the rich, beatiful sets and 30s clothes would make it worth watching anyway, but the film's haunting plot and fantastic cast definitely put it in the 'best films I've seen in a while' category.

I've seen Glorious 39 as well and thought it was definitely a feast for the eyes! I love period dramas and Ramola Garai went to my primary school!

Loved this movie! Visually, it was so beautiful. The wardrobe in particular, like you mentioned. Loooove. I also have a mega girl crush on Romola Garai which probably didn't help.
