Jewellary Box

How do you store your jewellary? These pictures show you exactly how I store mine these day - not at all! It would be fine if that was it but like most girls I think I've been buying jewellary, and being given it since I was tiny, so there's rather a lot more in boxes and drawers...

I used to store it all in a lovely vintage sewing box, but unfortunately it was so deep I couldn't ever find anything so ended up going back to the random tangled heaps method! I went hunting for some inspiration and found some beautiful jewllary boxes, and really creative ideas...

I need a really big jewelry box! I currently store my precious jewels in a small, red, oblong box, but it's only good for small pendants and earrings and little rings. For my huge cocktail rings and costume jewelry, I have one of those jewelry trees in the shape of a woman wearing a dress, and the rest I put in little boxes! I wish I could put them all in one place, though.

Your vintage sewing bow is beaitful but I know what you mean about never been able to find anything! I keep a lot of my chunkier stuff in a big vintage looking soap bag and whilst its see-through its still a nightmare getting stuff out! I keep my delicate stuff in a see-through Muji tower case thingy, lots of different compartments so ideal for finding stuff! I would love more vintage looking storage though and I LOVE the birdhouse idea!

Thanks for the post its given me heaps of inspiration to be more exciting with my storage =)

Mine is very boring sadly. All my necklaces and earrings are in the sort of boxes that you get at Hobbycraft to separate out beads (or fishing for fishing...things.) My bracelets and bangles are in a tin lunch box. Keeps everything tidy and me sane!

My jewellery organistation is similar to yours. Everything is everywhere! I have a wee box that I shove random everyday things on, so my favourites go there. I like the idea of having hooks on a wall, beside a full length mirror, to hang necklaces and bracelets. It could count as art too... x

Snap. I am exactly the same. I long for the day that my jewellery is all organised and in one place. However right now it is pretty much scattered around all over the place.

I always find it difficult to separate it into costume jewellery, fine jewellery etc.

A few years ago I used to use a vintage black mug stand and a sliver tree (a weird Christmas decoration gone wrong) and hang chains from it. It did have its downside though as everything would get tangled up.
Vintage type bottles are pretty good for storing bangles and what not.

I am glad I am not the only one who doesn’t have a pristine storage system :)

I'm awful with storing jewelry. It seems that either it's all neat and stored away and I never wear it or it's in a tangled heap and I remember to wear it....

Those are really cute storage methods.

I would really like to get some type of coat hanger/shelf situation for my jewelry. I think hanging my necklaces is really the best bet, because they always end up in a tangle. I've also always had this idea of hanging really cool doorknobs on the wall for jewelry storage. Unfortunately, it's not really an option right now because I rent my apartment... but someday!

Ooo, I love the various teacups as jewelry storage. That's such a cute little idea!

Your sewing box is so lovely, too. But I do completely understand what you mean about things being hard to find. I used to have that same problem. I ended finding a three-tied cookie display... thing... not sure what it's called, but that's what I used to store all of my bracelets and necklaces. And then I have a shallower jewelry box for my earrings.

I have loads of different jewellery boxees: so one for bracelets, ones for rings etc. It makes it easier to locate things. But I do love finding new ways of storing my jewellery. I love how those earrings are stored.

Mine often ends up in a tangled mess. Every now and then it sort it all out and hang all my necklaces/bracelets up on a mug tree!
