My mother is considering getting rid of the baths in our house and only having showers. I consider this a travesty of the highest degree. A hot bubble bath with a cup of tea and a magazine is surely one of the most luxurious and lovely ways to spend your time?
The only people I know who have regular bathtimes nowadays are all under the age of six, which just isn't fair - I want bathtime too!
ps - how amazing is this bathtub?!

Hear, Hear, Bathtime is the best, hang on to those baths!
haha, I think it's funny you posted pics from Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, cause I just did a blog post on the style in that film!
And I agree--that bathtub is amazing. :D And I love baths--being able to put in tons of nice smelling concoctions and something great to read..it's bliss. I don't have "regular" bathtimes (showers are easier for me), but they're definetly a treat I indulge every once in a while! :)
... People don't have bathtimes anymore?! I have regular baths! Well, I try not to have them TOO often so as not to waste water, but yesterday I had a terrible stomach ache/headache/uneasiness (that time of the month...) so I got into a hot bath with some hot chocolate and my current novel. It worked like a charm! Don't get rid of all the baths in your house! Keep one at least!!
Also, that bath is awesome :)

You can't beat a good bath, if you've got the time its an amazing way to relax!! Don't let her get rid of them!!!
This post made me laugh :) When I'm away at Uni I hate not being able to have a bath when I only have my diddy little shower in my room in student halls. Long live bath times!

I have baths all the time! They are the best way to relax and next time I have one I'm definately taking a cup of tea with me =)
I don't have baths very often but I really enjoy them when I have them!
The bath in the pictures is wonderful

Silly mother! Now why would she ever do that? Even though I pretty much never used the bath in our house, it would be so bizarre to not have on there.
I've been wanting to see that movie for awhile, actually. I heard Lee Pace is in it and I quite like him. ;)
i can't say i'm the biggest bath fan, but this one is BEAUTIFUL!

I was brought up with only showers and I only had my first bath at the age of 19!! I do enjoy them now, they are pretty good on a nice Sunday night with some music. Wish I could somehow look through blogs whilst in the bath, that'd be pretty good!

I WISH I had a bathtub. I think a hot bubble bath would be the perfect pick me up after a long Monday! I could use one right now.
I want that Bath! it looks supurb.
I agree that getting rid of the baths would be a travesty.
Baths have a relaxed quality that showers never have. My friend at school even raves about shower-baths where you turn the shower on while you're in the bath.
I was very stressed out yesterday and I felt so much better after a hot bath.

I haven't taken a bath in years - showers all the way for me. I definitely understand why people love them though. I get that same kind of comforting feeling from lying in my pool, but I can only do so in the summer.
I completely agree with that sentence! :D A hot bath is simply... perfect!
Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comment

Firstly, I love this movie!!! And baths are pretty awesome! I could do with some relaxation n one right about now.
Don't let her do it! Nothing like a big bubble bath, magazine and a glass of wine on a cold day!
I don't take many baths but I think every house should have at least one.
I love Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day! I initially only watched it because I have a lifesized crush on the guy who plays Michael (hubba hubba, Lee Pace!) but I fell in love with the quirkiness of it. & Frances McDormand is a legendary actress. Amy Adams is cropping up in everything recently!
Yes bath time is great. I don't often get to have them and have to settle for a shower as I don't have time. But a warm bath is the perfect me time.
I never, ever have baths! I find them really dull and usually get out after 10 minutes. I do love that bath though! x
