As you may have gathered from my absence from the Blogosphere last week I was in sunny Barcelona on holiday. I totally fell in love with the architecture and the whole feel of the City. Guadi and Picasso and the modernists rule supreme but there were some gorgeous old Gothic parts of the city too, filled with little alleyways and cute shops and markets to explore.

If you ever decide to visit Barcelona the one thing you must do is go to the Sagrada Familia - it's the most beautiful building site ever! Also to eat on the cheap the 'Menu Del Dia' is king - a set lunchtime menu usually with three courses for €11-€12.

Beautiful photographs lovely! I ADORE Barcelona so much, even though I have been so often, I can't tear myself away from travelling back there instead of exploring new places!

I definitely recommend one of their music festivals too if you are into music, it's the perfect location and creates a whole new vibe in the city! x

Ooooh, so glad you had a good time deary! I'm itching to go back to Barcelona - only got less than 24hrs there about a couple of years ago at the end of a week travelling around Spain so it was barely any time to cram anything in... plus I had the beginning of a kidney infection! Not good! Maybe next year :)

Gorgeous photos - looks like it was still warm there too. I loved the Gaudi museum when I was there (think that's the one with the rooftop where you can walk round and see the views). xx
