A Little Bit Thrifty

First of all I would like to say I am no great thrifter. I love looking at blogs full of their amazing thrifted finds both fashion and home related, but alas I haven't the patience, time, or the space in my home to comb through the racks of charity shops and face the early morning car boot sales in the hopes of finding something amazing for two pounds. All this having been said, the other weekend while spending a rainy Saturday afternoon browsing around Greenwich market I spotted this very cute vintage 50s lemonade jug and glasses, and at £6 I knew it was coming home with me!

In my head it's summer again and I'm drinking homemade lemonade on the terrace. Parasol and Chanel shades totally not optional.

What's your best thrifted find?

Wow, they're lovely! Like you I'm not one for thrifty shopping, it's posts like these that make me wish I had more patience though!

I'm so glad that there's someone out there just like me who has no patience to thrift. I honestly wish I could, but I barely have the knack to delve into TK Maxx, let alone a thrift shop or charity shop. It's something I definitely have to work on.

Umm, I guess my best find was a brand new, no-marks-on-them pair of Office heels from a charity shop. They are t-bar, tan & with quite a high heel, & are so easily interchangeable with any outfit, day or night. They were a fiver, but when I looked online later that night (as I had a sneaking suspicion that they were recent) they were still retailing for £55! Wazoooooo!

I'm a terrible thrifter! Hope summer comes soon so you can pour yourself some icy lemonade :)

Those are super cute! I definitely would have snapped up the set too. I'm a horrible thrifter as well. Mostly because I don't really know where to go. My city isn't very large, so I don't even think we have anything that great here except Salvation Army... but that's just junk.

I know what you mean about thrifting! I get so jealous when I see all the treasures other bloggers pick up.

My best thrift find was an amazing 50's skirt printed with love letters! I'm a sucker for unique prints. :)

This is such a beautiful set! I love it when I could find beautiful vintage dishes and glasses at a low price.

The minute I saw the first photo - before I read anything at all - I thought pink lemonade and summer sunshine :) What a great find!

Think the best thing I "thrifted" is an old St Michael blazer that I literally wear ALL the time. I'm not much of a thrifter either. My mum found the blazer!!
