Outside it may be raining...

Friday was a pretty wet and rainy Bonfire Night, but thanks to the lovely people at Aussie that was no reason to let it dampen our spirits, or our hair! The best thing about blogging is hands down the events and the people you meet there, and Friday was definitely a day I felt pretty starstruck in a roomful of my favourite bloggers.

We started off sipping champagne on the London Eye watching the fireworks from on high and nattering about blogging and hair and shoes and all sorts of things. This was swiftly followed by a short limo(!) ride to a bar in Covent Garden where much more champagne and cocktails were downed, along with the obligatory cupcake fest and canapes! It was all to celebrate the release of Aussie's Take the Heat range, which smells absolutely amazing and does a pretty good job of keeping away the frizz when you blowdry and straighten your hair as much as I do!

Of course this being Aussie there was a prize for best hair of the night which went to the amazing Hayley who's fantastic red up-do stood up to the rain far better than my attempt which was pretty flat by the end of the night. I need some more tips from Aussie I think!

All in all it was one of the best nights out I've had in a while, and it was so fantastic to meet so many of my blogging idols in one room, thanks so much to Aussie for making it happen!
