The snow in London has finally melted so I can get my heels out again! Good thing too, because it is still freezing and these boots are the best I have when it comes to winter footwear.

I'm showing off my new haircut, featuring the blogger fringe. I think almost every blogger out there has some form of fringe, and so I decided to see what all the fuss was about! I've had a blunt straight fringe before, but it was just too much effort to keep it looking nice so I'm currently sporting a bit of a side fringe which I am rather keen on. With my bob it does make me look a bit like the unknown 5th (female) member of the Beatles though!

To be honest I'm getting a bit sick of not being able to do that much with my hair. I've liked my short hair but I'm always totally jealous of all the gorgeous plaits, buns and beehives all my favourite long haired bloggers show off, and I want to be able to do some of them myself. So I've decided 2011 is going to be the year of hair growth! If you have any tips on growing your hair long let me know, I've said a mournful goodbye to my straighteners while I'm in hair growing mode, but if you have any other suggestions I'd love to hear them!

Ah! Someone who feels my bob pain! Loved having my hair cut but can't deny a weency little pang of jealousy when I see all these top knots and side plaits. Pah. We'll just have to start a new, shorter trend right?!

Love this outfit- it's so subtley festive; especially like those socks!!

That skirt is so pretty- I'm really getting into textured, floaty fabrics at the moment.
The socks are so cute peeping out of the boots.

I wish you luck with the hair growing. My hair's always been long yet I do so little with it. My best friend, Emma, has even longer hair though and is a genius when it comes to creating different styles.

I love the haircut. It's true: most bloggers do have some kind of a fringe.

That's a great outfit. Absolutely love the boots. Perfect for this weather. And the skirt is so lovely.

I've been growing my hair for about a year now after being bored of it in a crop- it's now past my collarbones, but I am finding it difficult knowing what to do with it! I had long hair before and now I think I know why I hacked it off, because I have no styling ability whatsoever! I'm hoping I can learn though!

I'm loving the bow detailing on your dress. I've just cut my hair, couldn't go any higher than shoulder length, I think I'd cry xx

Love the skirt :)
I've only had my hair in a bob once, but I was so annoyed with not even being able to scrape it into a ponytail!

I adore this outfit, the red and black both compliment each other perfectly, and it feels so wintery. The socks are a lovely addition too.
I am pretty much the opposite of you; I have always had long hair and desperately need some sort of change come New Year xx

Your hair looks great with the fringe. No tips for growing it I'm afraid - just patience! xx

How lovingly cute and playful!

I am trying SO HARD to grow my hair. The only tip I can offer is that maybe you should go on a five-week geology fieldwork trip, since for some reason that made my hair grow much faster! :P

I know exactly how you feel! I have short hair too, and I would like to try an Edwardian updo or a 60s beehive but before my hair gets anywhere near my shoulders I have a sudden urge to chop it all off.

I like your hair cut! it really suits you.
I would also kind of like to grow my hair longer but it gets progressively crazier and crazier as it grows longer so I'm not sure if i''ll do it.

Your outfit looks so striking. Love the hat. I must be the only blogger without a fringe. i just can't do fringes, my hair is too curly and frizzy.

The bangs look fantastic on you! Maybe I'm biased though as I've had bangs my entire life. I just love them.

Best of luck with growing out your hair! I 100% feel your hair envy. I often miss having my long hair (I cut it all off for slightly-longer-than-shoulder-length about a year and a half ago) and all of the great hair possibilities. I miss being able to braid my hair SO much. I do not miss the maintenance though.

(P.S. Your socks are adorable!)

Adorable outfit, love the hat. It's just perfect for now.

Sweets I can really recommend Silica supplement for hair growth. You can get it at Holland and Barrett. Can't wait to see you with long hair, and yes do stay away from the irons, they just ruin it.
