The Woman's Room

On Saturday I spent a book voucher I got for Christmas on The Woman's Room by Marilyn French. The main reason I bought it is because when you read those interviews with people in magazines/the paper and they ask 'What is the Book that changed your life?' my mum told me this is the book she would say. So I thought it was probably worth a read.

I picked up Freakonomics several years later than the rest of the world too, which was a good, fun read, but I suspect this one will be a bit more serious!

i've never read it, let us know what it's like. it's cool you chose it because of what your mum said. i find as the years go on i start to think my mum was right about more and more stuff...

Let us know what it is like!

This is going to sound very political and very Tory of me, but the book that changed my life and made me very sure of both my beliefs and what I want to do with my future and for what reasons, was Cameron on Cameron by Dylan Jones - GQ's editor interview David Cameron over a year of his Conservative Party leadership.

Some of the best books I have read have been from recommendations. I like to read reviews of them as well, getting other peoples opinions is the only way I will know if I will like it or not.

Let me know how you find this book, I am intrigued by the cover already.
