I do love the British seaside, and I was especially lucky this weekend because the seaside came to me! The Southbank in London was turned into a pop up beach - complete with sun, sand, beach huts and bunting. I had a lovely day on Saturday strolling along the promanade in the middle of central London, although they were still working on getting everything up and running - still to come is a pop up Dishoom - I can't wait!

The beach is going to be there until the beginning of September so I'd defintely recommend having a look, it's completely free so come play in the sand!

Can't believe this is Southbank. I'm definitely going to check it out this weekend. Also looking forward to the pop up Dishoom as I remember salivating over the food in your post on it! x

I love the British seaside as well. And how amazing they've bought the seaside to London. It looks so fantastic. Can't wait to give it a visit.

I once experienced this (a beach) in Paris at the Seine - it was so much fun, everyone in sun chairs and bikinis. It really felt like the seaside.

Now that is why I love London! Oh Harriet, you have to get your work to sponsor me a visa! Looks so lovely. Beautiful pics friend.

I missed it but would have loved to have seen it especially as it was such a nice weekend. I was out and about in Regents Park and Primrose Hill instead.

Wow, looks like amazing fun. I always imagine the town I live in must have been like that 100 years ago, as it used to be a seaside town, but the seaside bit is now quicksands and mud. Hope you had a fab time.

This is just lovely! These pictures remind me of summer and ice cream and the fair. I wish I didn't live so far away so I could visit.

I`m so jealous, sounds like you had a really good time.

Must go check out the south bank soon, I can celebrate with a trip when I finish for the summer.

What a find! I'm a British seaside freak - there's nothing quite like our coasts & it's never the same abroad! Will definitely be checking this out soon - more than once!
