1. I'm not going to lie, the main reason I'm growing my hair is so I can do Heidi braids. And after seeing these photos I am sitting here willing my hair to grow even faster! 2. I love this brightly coloured shoot for Vogue Australia 3. Colourful inspiration 4. More tea Vicar? 5. The new Closet Case Vintage lookbook is so pretty 6. I love this bright outfit from The Dainty Squid

This weekend I am in love with colour! I am usually a black, white and navy kind of a girl but I'm starting to get a thing for brights. Well ok, pastels, but I'm working on it! At this rate I'll be colour-blocking with the best of them before autumn comes!

By the way, my post about Building a Better Blog was featured on IFB's Links a la Mode Tech Roundup. I've included the full roundup below - there are so really interesting topics covered so do take a look.

Re: image 1 - same! I'm growing my hair so that I can braid it. Sadly, I have no idea how to braid hair and I'm rubbish at even the most basic of styles, so the likelihood is that I'll one day have hair long enough to braid, but won't be able to braid it.

I loved Kaylah's outfit too, especially the cardigan. No one could have worn it better.

Yay for coloured tights.

Thank you for including the Dainty Squid, I'm really pleased to have found her! Although she has made me sad that I just dyed my hair blue black again when really I'd like something hideously bright, but despite all her very considered tips on bleaching, I'm still far too much of a wuss.
I can't wait for my hair to be long enough for milkmaid braids either, but I fear with all my layers even when it is long enough it may still look weird.

Love the braid picture. I actually wore my hair like that the other day, I think I was inspired by SBV (I think).

As always, you find the prettiest things!

I hear ya on colours vs. neutrals. I have a hard time with that myself. Like blacks and greys and whites, and it's hard for me to be brave with brights. So I admire from afar.

My hair is actually long enough to braid, but I am completely clueless as to how to do it! I started out wearing mostly black and gray and have been gradually breaking into wearing more color--absolutely love those colored tights!
