Suit - Hobbs, Shoes - Courtesy of Bertie

Speaking of things I bought in Hobbs as I have been this week, here's another work outfit. The suit was a present from my parents for my birthday, and given it was almost warm enough to wear a jacket rather than a coat this week I finally wore it on Monday.

I have to say wearing a suit makes me feel really good. I can totally understand the eighties shoulder pads craze, because there's something about power dressing that really works for me. Clothes can be such a confidence booster, and I think even though fashion is frivilous and fun and ridiculous, it has the ability to really change the way you feel for the better. Monday was a bit of a tough day, but because I felt I looked the part, I acted the part.

You definitely look the part hun, it's such a lovely work outfit - i wish i got to power dress for work, instead I have to just go in casual all black. Make me look even longer than norma- not good! x

I would LOVE a suit from Hobbs! My work place isn't very 'suity' though.

Dude! You rock my socks. The new suit is awesome, and it looks amazing on you. And the little bow at the neck is darling. I can only hope I'll be this stylish when out in the work force.

The suit looks absolutely fabulous on you, Harriet. And I totally agree, a suit just gives you a certain 'togetherness' - it's like dressing the part makes you the part (at least that's how I feel about it), though I do not necessarily need the 80s shoulders back :)

Love this, power dressing works for me too. It just makes it all when you look the part as much as fit the part. LOVE the shoes too.
