Breakfast

Excuse me for a minute while this city girl takes a moment to marvel at the wonders of nature. I spent the weekend at my boyfriend's house and his family keep chickens. Everytime I go there I can't quite get over my amazement that we can collect the eggs every morning straight from the chicken's, well, you know, and be eating them for breakfast ten minutes later!

You can't really get better free range, organic, locally sourced produce than that - thanks chickens!

Oh goodness that looks wonderful! I used to have 3 pet ducks, but I wouldn't want to eat their eggs!

It's magic, isn't it? My friend keeps chickens and she loves them so - they're very close to her heart and when the fox gets one of them she's devastated. When we're there we always enjoy the lovely fresh eggs.

I love eggs, and those ones look delicious. My brother's friend used to have a farm and used to give us really fresh. Definitely the yummiest thing ever.

My dad always dreamt of having chickens Being a dentist in the Swedish capital meant he couldn't achieve his dream, until 5 years ago when he retired. He and mum got a holiday home in Canaries and dad finally got his land, his own avocado, his lemons and his chickens. He is such a happy man :) and I love our chickens dearly.
