BarryM Crackle effect

I spotted some of the illusive BarryM blue crackle effect nail varnish in superdrug when I was in Manchester last week and snapped it up. I've seen the black and the pink in a lot of shops but not the blue, which was the colour I really wanted.

I tried it out with a grey undercoat, but I'm not sure - I think it make the grey look a little murky and these close ups of my nails make it look a lot more messy than it actually is! I still love the effect, but I think I'll try it with a nice bright pink or red next time.

I love crackle polishes. I haven't got the blue one but it looks like it would go great with a minty green polish? xx

Love the crackle effect top coats - have a silver/gold one which I do over a bright pink - VERY cool! Might have to try out the coloured ones.

I have OPI's shatter polish (which is basically the same thing as the BarryM version) in black, and I love it! I think it's quite versatile as well, since I can pair it with pretty much any base color. It's also perfect for someone like me, because I don't have to apply it perfectly! (I can be just a bit of a perfectionist sometimes.)

I love crackle effect, It reminds me of the 90s when they had it back then.

I've seen the silver and quite liked that as an alternative to black.

I've never tried the crackle polish, I much prefer the blue and pink to the black though :)

I'm really enamoured with the crackle effect, too. When I got mine everyone commented 'Barry M?' and I was 'Whaaat?'

I love the combination. Maybe grey/blue is a tiny bit harsh for summer and more a winter combo?

I have yet to try this polish, and really want to! Well done on finding the blue. I may have to scope out my nearest superdrug at lunch time...

Such a beautiful color :) Love it!

I had the black but the bottled must have been left to react with the air too long or something because it no longer crackles and is all gloopy! Still, it was fun while it lasted and the blue is a fun colour :)

Yes, i agree with tass. I think it would look fantastic with a light green colour. I haven't tried the crackle polish yet, i'd love to see it in more metallic colours.
