Bits and Bobs

A few things I've bought recently - a grey tee from H&M in the sale (in the background), two cds going for pennies on Amazon - Mazzy Star and Patrick Wolf, a remote control for my camera (best thing ever for outfit photos! So much easier than running back and forward with a self timer!) and the latest Glamour magazine to get the free Benefit sample.

I was rather underwhelmed by Glamour, it's all sex tips and celebrities, which is not really what I look for in a magazine. I went for the Posietint freebie in the end, which I am liking rather better! It's quite light, which suits me as I'm never any good at applying these things and means I don't look too much like a clown! It doesn't really show up on my lips admittedly but I do like it on my cheeks so far.

What have you purchased recently that you love?

Glamour has free posie tint?! I hate the mag but it's worth it for that!

I have a remote for my camera, it was really cheap and makes life so much easier. I never really bother buying magazines much anymore unless they have a free gift that I want. I am just running out of the usual cheek tint I use from the bodyshop, so might have to treat to myself to Glamour so that I can try this one out instead.

Such lovely photography! I am desperate for a remote for my camera, I get so tired (and disheveled) running back and fourth :) x

Ah, that's the camera remote I was eyeing up - before I realised that I own sub-standard gadgets! Curses!

I bought three copies of Glamour so that I could have one of each of the freebies. Crazy, right?!

Recently I've bought a lovely swan necklace that I turned into a keyring, and some glittery blue nail polish.

Every single copy of Glamour magazine I saw had had the freebie stolen. How rubbish! I found out in May that theyw ere going to be doing Benefit...thanks MSE forums! They did full size benefit freebies last year, that was pretty good. I really, really hate Glamour magazine though!

I might invest in a camera remote now I have a decent camera...should probably learn to use it first.

My camera remote is my best friend. Definitely the best £12 I ever spent. I don't understand how fashion bloggers can live without it! Haha.

Actually, I love the tint on my lips, not my cheeks!

I got the posie tint to and just handed the magazine straight over to colleagues. Glamour doesn't really float my boat but the freebies do! xx

Why can I never find these amazing CD deals? I'm jealous! :P That Mazzy Star album is one of my favourites.

Yay for cheap Amazon CD's. I'm still tempted to buy Glamour just for the awesome freebies!!

Mazzy Star!! Love it. I was bought a subscription for Glamour as a birthday present, and I'm not impressed either.

These pictures make me smile, I love grey tops, Mazzy Star, Patrick Wold & Posietint! Your photography is beautiful.

I used to use Posietint (& Benetint balm) every day until I veganised my cosmetics. I bought an issue for a sample of High Beam, which I'm in love with, although it contains stearic acid, which may not be vegan. :/

I'm loving the Posietint too! Have wanted to buy the full size for ages but couldn't justify the £20+ price tag...might just be tempted once this trial size runs out though!

I used to have benetint (think it's the same idea?) and looked really lovely dabbed on lips and cheeks. Definitely agree with you that Glamour is never one of my go-to reads. Though it's still marginally better than Cosmopolitan at least. Still Glamour is just as bad and seems preoccupied with constantly pleasing men!

those kinds of magazines are not my cup of tea either, it was a good freebie though, everyone seems to have bought the magazine for them!

Glamour is my favourite mag, I haven't had a chance to read this issue yet, but I always prefer it over Cosmo which I swear should be written by men, its always tips on how to please them!

I love those magazine freebies! I rarely buy mags anymore, unless it's freebie season. I love the lip and cheek tints--I think they give a much more natural blush than the powders do. Bet it looks lovely on you!

I'm so glad you said that about this issue of Glamour, I thought it was just me that thought it was a bit blah! The Posie Tint did soften the blow though!

I really don't go for Glamour or Cosmo etc either. Despite the reputation for being nothing but models and expensive clothes, I love Vogue and Elle for their interviews and articles.

Most recent purchase, bottle wine- feels necessary and I'm willing it to turn into my favourite Valencian wine which I can't find in the local shops (unsurprisingly) and my other favourite recent purchase is the bikini I picked up from Primark for my trip. Cheep and cheerful, but I love it.
