Romantic Rebel?

Tee - H&M, Skirt - American Apparel, Boots - Schuh

I'm not exactly sure about the slogan on this tee - I never thought of myself as a romantic rebel before - what does that even mean?! It was ridiculously soft, and only £5 though...

Did you go through a 'slogan t-shirt' phase when you were younger? I definitely did! I had loads of them from Tammy Girl and the New Look teens section - I adored anything with a slogan on it! I think I have to conclude this purchase may have been just a little bit nostalgia induced!

I«de wear something like that in my teens too, but not now. It's a part of me that is fine in the past :)

I used to LOVE H&M's slogan tees - I had sooo many!! then I got rid of them all in a wardrobe clearout and now I regret it! This one is very cool :)

Really love this outfit. The boots are ace! I can't wait for the weather to get cold again so I can bust out my ankle booties!

And I don't know about slogan tees, but I certainly had plenty of Hello Kitty t-shirts! I was all about the motifs!

i know i ALWAYS say it, but the quality of your photographs are just wonderful.

i adore the shape and colour of your american apparel skirt, and your boots are lovely too!

Some slogan tops can be quite tacky (anything with 'babe' or 'sexy'). I like this one though. I've never bought any slogan tops but I think it's because I haven't found any I really like x

I did indeed go through a slogan phase, it was not a good time for me...
This top, however, is a lovely top :) The slogan isn't trashy etc so it's fineee :)

Tammy Girl was so cool back in the day! I remember getting a t-shirt from there that had a little plastic pocket on the front for you to put photos in haha x

I always had tshirts with things like 'COOL BABE' and 'Daddys Princess' on them.
They were definitely cool at the time!

I must say, I love you boots!!

Oh yea, I had loads of slogan tees when I was younger...good old Tammy!

I also had a plenty when I was younger, but went off them as the faded out of mainstream fashion. I like the simpler ones- the House of Holland originals were a favourite as they were really quite witty.

I love a good slogan tee, especially this one on you!

It was Madonna in her cowboy-esque 'Don't Tell Me' phase that got me into slogan T-shirts the last time. Can you believe that was 11 years ago?! I'm following you now, love your blog! x

Aaaaah, Tammy girl. I'm not sure about slogan Tees... New Look absolutely do them to death. I used to work for them and those tees were the worst part of my job!

Ahh, Tammy Girl... Gosh, I had some hideous slogan tshirts as a 12-14 yr old. Bad times. x

Saw this in H&M the other day and loved in, though had no real reason either, maybe it was harking back to slogan tee love.

God Tammy! BHS have took that over now.

The slogan top actually looks really cool on you. I've spotted that one in H&M but wasn't too sure how it'd look, so tempted to buy it after seeing how great it looks on you.

I had tons of slogan tees from Tammy growing up. I cringe at remembering some of them.

i had so many slogan tshirts when i was younger! haha..they all said pretty stupid things too.. :P

I think it had to be a pretty darn good slogan for me to go for it- I usually cringed at the words saying, and just went for the plain tee. :)

Harriet you look amazing! I love the t-shirt on you and if it is soft then even better, I am always looking for soft, comfy t-shirts !

I think it looks great, Harriet! I got my 1st slogan t-shirt at the age of 40 (new look sale for a 5er)... I feel now I've reached the age when everything is allowed. xo

I love the skirt and boots so much - and such a refreshing colour combination, too! I have only recently started to fall in love with tshirts, and those with slogans have become favourites, so it seems this can work in reverse - I never used to like them when I was younger. I'm currently ogling a black kitty cat tshirt at topshop. I need to stop myself;)

That skirt is lovely!
And I totally went through the slogan tee phase. I remember this one shirt I had when I was about 12 or 13 that said "Obey Me" and two of my best friends got the same shirt and we wore them all around town together. Oh, youth.

haha, when I was in Japan, I got a cute hooded T that says "Dirty, Foul, Messy, Bloody".. Engrish at it's finest! I wear it once a year!
