It's around this time of year I give up on fashion magazines - it tends to be nothing but photos of bikinis until September (yawn). Instead I have just finished reading the most recent edition of (don't laugh!) Homes & Antiques magazine. I know it's probably aimed at a more mature audience, but this month's vintage special is definitely something I think plenty of bloggers would enjoy.
It's stuffed full of beautiful homey inspiration, a vintage shopping guide, and even an article on vintage bicycles! What more could I want?

Those images look fabulous, I wish my flat looked like this. I love home magazines! We get a lot of magaine subscriptions at work and the home ones are my favourite.
Oh wow, it's got the 60s house in Sydenham in it! (the cool one with the wide windows and the mid-20th century furniture). When I was a kid I lived in one of those houses, though it didn't look like that inside! I've seen that house in a few places, it's so gorgeous.
I saw a magazine called 'Selvage' the other day in the newsagents, I was very tempted but it cost a tenner so I'm still thinking about it. Very tempted to get Homes and Antiques now!
I get home and gardens, home and antiques and a few culinary magazines from France, England and Germany. I find them to be more inspirational than their fashion sisters. And I especially love the articles therein;-)

I really love architectural magazines. They help me build my dream home! I am glad you picked an issue with a retro theme to share. :D
Oooh it all looks so pretty! I love home-y magazines, think I might have to buy this...xx
Sirens and Bells
I hate all the swimsuit stuff that't in the magazines at the minute, particularly as I'm not going on a beach holiday this year. So home improvement seems like a fantastic idea! Hmmm, if anyone needs me, I'll be at a newsagents...
Wow, totally drooling over that red floral dress in the third photo. Yay Homes & Antiques!
Wow this is a beautiful issue. I've stopped buying fashion magazines, but maybe I should start buying home magazines.
I love reading home magazines. It's always great inspiration.
Ohhhh how pretty are those floral dresses! I adore everything 50s, these are lovely shots x
I can only dream when I see pictures of these - I love it! I'm particularly fond of what I think is a dish drainer on the last picture...lower right hand?
I secretly have a thing for vintage dish drainers and whenever I see them I ooohhhh and ahhh...
Great magazine, I'm going to to have to try to find a copy that will send to the states!
What great images, how cool is that pink lamp in the third picture! And the pretty dresses of course! I'll have to buy a copy. I occasionally buy magazines like homes and gardens or country living to drool over the gorgeous interiors. I prefer them to fashion magazines now.
Good pics for photographic inspiration! Well taken and presented as usual!
Oh, I can spot some great mixes... My mum is really into interior design, so we grew up with loads of home and art magazines. You're quite right about the 'bikini problem' in fashion mags these days (what shall we poor people do who stay in the UK and never get to wear a bikini?!?)
xo
trust me, i'm always looking at the interior design sections in magazines! it always makes me want to redecorate my whole house (if only!)

There's nothing wrong with that, it actually looks really good!

Oooh! This magazine looks right up my alley! Like I need more homes/design/architecture magazines though... woops. ;)
Definitely much more interesting than yet another article on bikinis! It looks such a pretty magazine. I love the shot with the dresses hanging up.
Florrie x
