Cocktail Hour

I missed what appears to be the event of the season - Vintage at Southbank - last weekend as I had to revise (boo!) but my mum went with a couple of her friends and she bought me back two vintage babycham glasses to add to my growing collection of vintage cocktail paraphernalia. Thanks Mum!

They bring my collection up to six glasses and two sterling silver cocktail shakers, but I'm always on the hunt more! Still on my list are a soda syphon, some colourful retro looking tumblers, and at some point I'd love to find the perfect vintage cocktail cabinet to put them all in!

Tell me, what do you collect? I love hearing about other peoples collections, and to know I'm not the only person cluttering up my house with things like this! How long have you been a collector and what are your favourite items in your collection?

This is absolutely beautiful. I can definitely understand why you would collect them!

So pretty! My mum has a whole set of those she got for her wedding. So cute, I love them.
I collect...hmm. Ceramic owls, I guess! I have quite a few. Also, old teasets, teapots, buttons, badges, nail polish...I basically just hoarde!

Nice post :) I don't really collect things (except bags, shoes, rings...), I just like to find something special!
I would really like if you'd take a look at our latest 'Meet the Interns' Post. Its gonna be a new feature for the blog on intern work day style. Let us know what you think!

I used to collect snow balls (pretty large ones or small ones from the cities I visited)- but that was before I went abroad and realised all my stuff had to fit in 2 suitcases!
I really like your collection though- one reason is that you can actually use them whereas snow balls were merely decorative :)

Vintage at southbank was great fun. The glasses look fabulous.
I used to collect coins. I still have tons of them lying around.

They are so pretty! I try to not collect anything (except clothes and shoes, but that doesn't count, does it?), but I love anything old glass, too. xo

What a wonderful thing to collect, they're almost too beautiful to actually make cocktails in.

I collect, or possibly a more accurate term is hoard, fabrics. The intention is to use them at some point, but they all look so beautiful together I just can't bring myself to do it!

Wow they are beautiful!

I don't collect one specific item, more a whole group. I collect things that I would put in my dream house and use them in my bedroom. I have a cake stand that I use as a jewellery stand and a birdcage that has candles in it. I also rescued my own bookcase from the loft and have a replica vintahe hand mirror

Aw cute these are so beautiful, and what an unusual thing to collect!

I collect snowglobes from each place I've visited - tacky but I love em!!

As a child, I collected china dolls, and I still have loads at my mum's house.
These days, my shelves are groaning with merchandise from the band Muse. I have t-shirts, saved gig tickets, all the CDs, rare singles, vinyl, a puzzle, signed stuff, coasters, christmas tree baubles...you name it, I go it. Obsessed? Me?
