The thing about Take 10 is the challenge. I love taking an item I wouldn't otherwise have and challenging myself to come up with an outfit. And yes, some things aren't very 'me' but that is part of the fun!

These shoes are not me. To be honest, I can't even walk in them. Not even a little bit. Tottering back and forth to the self timer was a challenge all on its own!

I do love the outfit I put together though. The shoes made me think 70s, so I went for that vibe, with short shorts, a hippie hat and peasant-girl style blouse. Now will someone please design me some sensible heels!

I love those shoes, they are amazing. Just such a shame they are so difficult to walk in. I love the outfit, so perfect for this hot summer weather.

Not very practical but they look glamorous in a trendy way. Debenhams will be very happy with the extra online exposure from such lovely ladies;-)

I definitely wasn't a fan of these shoes, but everyone did a geat job of styling them. I love how you added that really lovely hat.

Those shoes look amazing in this outfit but yes, it must have been so difficult styling something that isn't typically you. I'd have a hard time styling these too but you look awesome Harriet!

You look great Harriet! You managed to make the shoes look less hideous! :) Also, my favorite thing is the way Sabine placed our pictures side-by side in the collage...doesn't it look like I am giving you an evil "what shoes are THOSE!?" glance? So funny! xx

The shoes certainly look like they're hard to walk in, they're so high! I love the 70's vibe you have going on :) xx

Goodness me, I applaud you for even standing! Haha. I'd topple over in a second, I fear.

I have some black wedges a bit like these, and I've given up on them as I'm sick of spraining my ankle in the name of fashion!
You look gorgeous in this outfit though, and bravo to you for tottering back and forth to the timer to get the photos!

Can't say I'm a fan of shoes that I can't walk in either...I'm clumsy enough as it is thank you! You look great though, and styled the shoes really well x

I don't think I could walk in them either, but they are so pretty

The shoes aren't my taste either but love how you've made them work with your style. They actually look good with this outfit. Do you get to keep the items or do you post them onto another blogger? Just wondering how it all works. x

these shoes look amazing, but how annoying that they're so impractical. I love the outfit you came up with!

I've just been looking at how the other take 10 girls styled these bad boys- you all did amazingly! Love your 70's inspired look. I also...kind of like the shoes?!! I would never wear them, (high heels are not my friend) but with the right outfit they look sweet!

xx

I'm not keen on them at all but your styling is my favourite. You've given them a pin up bit of humour and fun.

Hi everyone. I'm exited to have joined this forum and am looking forward to contributing.

My interests are wide and varied but I guess my real passion is for music. I love a wide variety such as
Faithless, The Smiths, Enigma, The Cure & The Mission.

I'm always looking for new places to download new music and the best place I have come across is
Iomoio. Their music is only 15 cents a track so you can save a real fortune. And it's legal!

Anyway, looking to make more posts soon.....

I love how you styled the shoes Harriet - such a cute, retro look! They were pretty impossible to walk in, though :)

VA VA VOOM! You are rocking those heels!

Look at your sassy pose! They do give a 70s vibe with the wedge so I loved that you paired it with an oversized straw hat ;)
