Orange Obsession

I wore this dress to Susie's Leaving Do last weekend, and it's pretty much my favourite dress ever. It's ridiculously flattering and I love the mix of the conservative neckline and midi length with the bright colour.

I chatted to Lizzy and Lily for a while about the difficulty of working in quite conservative fields but still wanting to dress like ourselves. I've ummed and ahhed about whether this dress is work appropriate for a while, as in any other colour I think it would be but bright orange?

In the end I went for it and wore it to work later last week, and although I got a few surprised looks and comments they were mostly positive! It's definitely encouraged me to wear bright colours to work more often and cheer up my day!

I'd never have thought to buy a dress in bright orange, but this has made me think again. I love it!

I love the dress! The combination of bright, strong colour and a slightly conservative but really flattering cut is genius - and looks lovely on you, Harriet.
And I'm definitely for pushing the dress boundaries at work places :)

I love the contrast of your leafy green background and the orange dress. Looks like it was a wonderful day in London town. ;P

The cut of the dress is so, so flattering on you! And in that vibrant color, the dress is a great mix of elegant and quirky.

Certainly at my work (law firm) you'd be able to wear that - noone really has a problem with colour (particularly in dress form), and I've worn teal green and rather short dresses before!!

The colour is amazing, and the length is perfect, midi is my favourite! Even though I have short little legs, I think it's the most flattering.

This dress is super pretty but I am especially loving the sleeves. Man I love dresses with sleeves, very classy and elegant.

I love that dress, I can't get enough of orange at the moment! I have way too many of this style of dress, they're so flattering and really easy to either dress up or dress down.

Stunning picture Harriet, you look gorgeous! On the job-clothes front, I'm actually job hunting now, and was telling my friend only yesterday that I hope I find a job where I can dress like 'me'! I think it's great that you got some nice feedback from colleagues...after this it wouldn't surprise me if they all started sporting orange too! x

Adore this dress - I have skirt very similar. Nothing beats a floppy, mid-length skirt in Autumn.
