Take me to the Circus

I've fallen in love with these Circus Master shoes, which Clarks sent me from their Boutique collection. I've worn Clarks shoes ever since I can remember - memories of those amazing princess shoes with the key spring to mind (I was never allowed them, so sad!) but they have really surpassed themselves with the Boutique range.

I'm so bad for buying really high shoes that I can't walk in just because they're pretty, and then just gazing at them in my wardrobe, hardly worn. I have to admit I haven't worn these out of the house yet... but they're more comfortable than I had expected them to be, so I am determined to get use out of them!

What do you own which you love but never wear? Or are you good at buying practically?

Love those shoes - so very you!

And I am the queen of buying practical shoes!

You must wear them, Harriet - they look amazing! Good excuse to have someone drive you around, or maybe use the bicycle :)

I'm owning a beautiful denim peplum dress by acne which I sadly never wear. But one day... xoxo

i love the sturdy heel of those shoes! Surely a more practical heel? Clarks have some great stuff at the moment. I'm lusting after a pair of lace up winter boots. I'm definitely a practical shoe/boot buyer though.

awwwww I wanted the princess shoes with the keys... what was wrong with our parents ey?? mean haha. Stunning shoes, my trick is to travel in the flats and change into the heels when I am at my destination. ;) x

I love clarks shoes! They're so comfortable and the new collections look amazing! Your ones are so pretty.

I'm so bad at buying practical shoes. I have a pair of 6 inch heels, never worn!

They are gorgeous! And being Clarks, they must be kind to your feet, right? Ahh, I used to LOVE those Magic Step shoes with the key in the heel....

Wow. Love those shoes, very chic indeed.
Clarks were the shoe shop of my childhood, my Mum always insisted on us going to Clarks at the start of a new school term! xxx

These shoes are gorgeous and I love your photographs of them.
I used to have the shoes with the key! I got so upset when the keyhole filled with mud and dirt - not the best designed shoes! x

Ah Magic Steps, with the key and the rose! That sends me back. I'm the same as you - always buying heels that just sit in my wardrobe. But I made a resolution to wear my collection more about six months ago and I have been doing much better, I must say! x

Lovely! I agree, I love buying heels ("ohhhh they're so pretty!") but then never wear them out. My poor feet cannot handle them!

I am so terrible at buying shoes I can hardly wear - particularly emphasised by having to walk everywhere in London. It'd all be much easier with a car! I love these though and Clarks are the best! I'm desperately after some black boots, so I may have to pay them a visit... x

Who needs practical when you have GORGEOUS shoes such as these?
I certainly have a few pairs I cannot walk in. My sister calls them my 'giraffe shoes' because I walk like a baby giraffe in them! Xo

These are gorgeous images, they look stunning, especially with the tights:)
I am still learning to buy practically, with the intention of locating perfect items which will stem my desire to collect more....but I also believe that we are curiously, emotionally attached to our clothes (particularly the yearning for new ones!) which often makes it difficult to resist splurging on the unnecessary..........but once in a while can't hurt, for sure x

They are amazing. I hope you get lots of wear from them. I always tend to buy going out clothes even though I don't often go out. I have loads of heels that don't get that much wear.

See, I knew you were a girl of taste! I am such a Clarks fan its untrue....I think its probably because they were the only shoes I could fit in as a kid and also because I associate going to the Clarks Village in Street, Somerset with haycon teenage holidays (I was one of those sort of teens that liked holidaying with her parents!)

These look amazing....and because they're clarks you know that they'll be comfy! I've got a pair of clarks heels that are now probably ready for the bin but I cant part with them because they're so comfortable!

That being said, I too fall fowl of being tempted by shiny shoes that I dont fit in....I've got really wide feet, and one foot slightly bigger than the other, so I sometimes try shoes on the wrong foot and end up with ones that I cant wear! Or simply I'll pretend that they'll fit if I just wear them enough...they never do, and sit in my wardrobe forever....I've a pair of shoes from Office that I've never worn because they seriously dont fit!

But hurrah for clarks instead....I think I'll be sorely tempted by these!

Clarks have seriously got some amazing shoes in right at the moment and my mother and I have both been drooling over them whilst my dad looks nervous in the corner!

I cannot walk in high heels, so this kind of shoe is ideal for me. I usually pretty good at buying sensibly, but every so often I get taken away by something super gorgeous, yet ridiculously impractical...

I had those shoes with the key!! Wow thanks for the memory! Although sorry to rub in that you didn't have them... ; )

I mostly buy sensible but I do have a few around the house that I never wear. I like to pretend to myself that they're art...I've even got one pair of sparkly red shoes on the mantelpiece!

These shoes are lovely!! I had a pair from M&S which were very similar, couldn't get enough of them until the heel snapped :(
Maybe these one will have better luck!

Great pics! I am just the same, buying shoes that I can't wear for more than ten minutes! The ones I wear daily are generally quick 'those will do' purchases that I learn to love…
I remember those princess shoes! And the advert with the precocious, sickly sweet, little girl! "Magic shooooes?"
