Boxing Day

cardigan - mango, tee - monki, skirt - french connection, socks - dorothy perkins, shoes - schuh

Boxing Day, also known as the day after Christmas for those of you not blessed with this most wonderful of holidays, is possibly even better than Christmas day in my opinion. The presents have been opened, the tv has been watched, the food has been consumed, and on Boxing Day we eat leftovers, nurse our hangovers and rest.

Or at least I do! The rest of my family have gone to the sales (madness!) so I am drinking orange juice, wearing my new christmas clothes and snoozing in the living room. Bliss! Happy Boxing day to you - hope you are currently occupied with similar!

You look lovely - love your skirt!

I'm going to my Dad's family today as per Boxing Day tradition and I always dress up a bit! I'm wearing Kurt Geiger heels, an ASOS dress and a Hobbs jacket to go with my brand new Hobbs handbag!

Love this outfit. The skirt is so cute and reminds me of the ones I used to wear to school when I was younger (in a good way!).
I'm hitting the sales tomorrow so having a chilled out day at home today, appreciating the day off a lot more now that I'm working! x

absolutely agree with you - i couldn't leave the house for the boxing day sales. i'd end up stressed out over not being able to move and wouldn't be able to make rational decisions. :) always good to just chill out with some juice and snacks.

hope you're well, i love your outfit!
lots of love,
jade. xx

I don't understand how people have the energy for Boxing Day sales - I'm still knackered from over indulging yesterday! Today is definitely a day for snuggles in bed & crap telly (shame my poor boyf has to work!).
I live your outfit - I was looking at a similar skirt earlier (online shopping - makes so much more sense!) and those shoes are gorgeous!
Have a great day! Xo

I love your shirt and skirt Harriet- you look adorable! :D In Jamaica, where I used to live, the big dinner was actually on Boxing Day! It was a bigger deal than Christmas.

I would be doing exactly what you was doing on boxing day if it wasn't for my nan's new puppy who decided to bite everyone... definitely kept everyone awake ;-).
You look gorgeous! I especially love your boots! xx

We celebrate Boxing Day over here as well, but the tradition is to make cannelloni with the left-over meat from Christmas lunch. However we don't get any sales until the 7th of january booh!
I love this outfit, the pink cardigan is such a pretty shade and looks great on you and I want that skirt.

HARRIETTTT!!!! Thank you for that kind comment on my blog. And merry merry festive wishes to you! Your Boxing Day outfit is utterly cute. Christmas when it's cold is the best. We're sweltering in sunny SA! Guess I can't complain though:) Hope you have a fab New Year's eve and I know you're going to have a brilliant 2012 x

Isn't Boxing Day just a whole lot better. I get bored on Xmas Day, all the expectation and nothing to do, but Boxing Dayis like free reign to go off and fiddle with new things, sleep late, and eat when you please.

Glad you enjoyed yours. Not entirely sure why people actually you know, get dressed and stuff on Boxing Days, can think of nothing worse than fighting the sales....

Such a cute outfit. I always opt for a lazy boxing day over going to the sales. I do sometimes have a little browse of the online sales though.
