What's in my bag...

What's in my bag posts are one of my favourite things to read, and it's been about a year since I've done one myself so I thought it was about time for an update!

I bought this silver (although it looks gold in these photos...) bag a few weeks ago, primarily as a laptop bag. My old laptop bag fell apart on the side of a dual carriageway on an industrial estate somewhere outside Loughborough, in the dark and on my own - I could have cried! So I had to do an emergency shopping trip and chose this bag in River Island primarily for the sturdy looking handles!

It's a pretty good size for most things, although I'd love it even more if there was a small inside pocket for essentials like my oystercard instead of having to hunt around for it in the bottom somewhere everytime I need it.

Essentials - I still love my Moleskine diary - I much prefer flicking through its pages to looking things up on a screen, Nicole Farhi glasses without which I cannot see, Sudafed (I'm fighting off a cold at the moment with a combination of sudafed and force of will!), Urban Outfitters purse, Oystercard, iPhone, I never travel anywhere without at least one calculator, ditto one of many Primark umbrellas - this is England afterall, memory stick for datastorage needs - I have a ton like most people I think and can never remember what is saved on which one!

Makeup - Estee Lauder lipsticks in RoseTea and Plumberry, fold up mirror, Boots lipsalve, Topshop blusher, FC5 handcream which came in the November glossybox. It smells really nice, although I've no idea if it is working or not!

I love these posts :] + this was a really sweet one! I have to admit, I'm intrigued as to the reason for the calculator... ;] ♥

I know exactly what you mean about your memory stick! I have 4 identical ones which doesn't help at all and I reckon I'll end up making lables to stick on them soon! I love my moleskin diary to pieces :)

I love reading these sorts of posts! I hate that when I'm out with a bag that doesn't have a pocket, my keys/oyster always seem to end up at the very bottom! I really like your red purse :) x

I also need to have small pockets for my metro card or else I spend forever hunting for it while people are stomping past to get on the bus or train. It's not as much of an issue in winter though, as I always have a coat with pockets.

I also love these "what's in my bag" posts! That wallet is so pretty. xo, Mary

I really do love that purse! Posts like these are great as you really do learn the most random things about people. I wish there were more pockets in my satchel too!

I love having a nosey into other bloggers bags. Your bag is so pretty.

And it's great to see someone else carry a usb everywhere.

I love these kinds of posts too! It is such a cute bag too. One of my bag essentials is that it has a good way to separate the oyster card from my BlackBerry, because whenever I forget the oyster card gets deactivated which is a total headache! Love those lipstick colors too, btw!

I too thoroughly enjoy a small pocket inside a bag. The one you chose though is lovely - I also really like your super cute purse :) x

Oh how I love this type of blog post. It's beyond me why I've never got round to doing one when they delight me so.
Sorry to hear about your naughty laptop bag, that can't have been fun :( The new one is very pretty though ^_^

For some reason, I can't seem to carry just one lip colour either! I have 4 in my bag (2 red lip stains, and 2 different bright pinks lip sticks). You never know when you might need them!

Nice collection! & I love your bag, I've been looking for something similar but bigger for a while with no luck. I wish my bag was as organised as yours!

It always feels like a forbidden pleasure to check out someone's bag... Great content, and could you please send over some of this Sudafed stuff? Fighting off the cold, too. xo

I think its a miracle because I do not have a cold! I love what's in my bag posts... I'm so nosy!!

That is a very organised bag... mine is so heavy at the moment I'm almost afraid to empty it... I think I'll find many lost items lurking in the depths!
Lovely bag, though I do like plenty of little pockets for keys, cards and my mobile... I like a bag to have a coloured lining too so I can see things a little easier. I just got rid of a bag that had balck lining simply because I couldn't see anything in it! Drove me mad...
