lipstick in ruby woo - mac, liquidlast eyeliner in point black - mac, double wear foundation in shell - estee lauder, hair clips - claire's accessories
I guess I can't deny the fact that it is January any more can I? I hate that going back to work/school feeling, and how far away the summer suddenly feels. It never seems to matter before December 31st, then suddenly sunshine and warmth is all I can think about!
This tends to lead to me taking comfort in retail therapy a bit more than usual - especially in little treats like hair accessories and makeup to brighten the day.
Are you feeling the January blues? How do you go about beating them?

I am definitely in retail therapy mode - it helps to take away the blues. Make-up and accessories are always my favourite things when I'm feeling a little low in the post-Christmas lull.
Love that lippy but still trying to get the courage to wear red!
Happy New Year!
xx
I'm feeling the 'back-to-work' blues actually. Being just back from London doesn't help either. This may be the moment that I realise that I don't like working, lol! Kidding though, I love winter. Cold weather and gray skies makes me feel alive and happy - I know, odd, isn't it?
The lipstick looks like velvet by the way, loved it! xx
That red lipstick is such a gorgeous colour!
I've got a bit of the January blues too, just can't get myself motivated to do anything constructive. Want to curl up in my bed and hibernate for a couple of months!

I am just the same - love all things wintery until Christmas is over, then I'm craving sunshine again! That said, I do love using the short days and cold winds as an excuse for staying in all day and drinking lots of coffee! x
Mac lipsticks look good enough to eat.....
and that is a beautiful colour :) I need to up my red collection!
Little treats like this are the perfect way to try and lift the gloomy mood I find, I tend to go for a new nail varnish every now and then! xo
Loving that lipstick! It's strange to think you're in Winter there, we're just coming into the beautiful hot weather here
Ruby Woo is my signature lipstick, I absolutely love it.
Know what you mean about the January feeling. Can't wait til it's over
I have heard so many great things about that lipstick, and it looks so lovely - I might just have to try it!
this year has been a little different to those that have gone before... I moved in July 2011 and have been itching to get into the garden and start making it into my outdoor sanctuary, so to beat the blues I have been ripping shrubs and trees out of the ground and making plans for pretty rockeries, an orchard, a veg plot. It feels fab to get outside and get my hands dirty, get my heart beating faster... all the time knowing that, whilst I'm currently making a mess, the end result will be wonderful.
I can't wait :O)
gorgeous colour lippy BTW... I do, of course, do the gardening with a generous slick of lippy x
Amazing lipstick. Ah I've started thinking about the summer too, practically counting down the days! x
MAC lipstick is the ultimate pick me up no matter what the shade!
Retail therapy is by far the best for conquering the January blues xxx
I'm in retail therapy mode, too, but I've really got to watch my spending. EL Double Wear is an AMAZING foundation. Enjoy it!
I wish I could take part in some retail therapy! So skint! Lusting over Ruby Woo, desperate to have it in my life!

I love MAC's red lipstick. It's a perfect red.
I've been beating the January blues with new shoes!!!
I need this lipstick! I've been treating myself to a few sneaky purchases to brighten up January...I'm dreaming of sunny days too! x
YES! At least to the hair accessories part. There's nothing more satisfying (well...) that buying a fresh strip of kirby grips & tie-bands. Then I can disregard all the poor, lost souls scattered over the flat & arrange them all nice & neat - for all of five minutes, anyway.
The lipstick looks great. I am trying not to buy anything but couldn't help myself when the dress I have been wanting at Nancy Dee went to half price in a flash sale.
I really need to try Ruby Woo! I tend to watch more films and curl up with a good book, it's always better if the weather is gloomy and you're all wrapped up!

Eff you, January. You're so boring.
At least you have pretty makeup to make you happy, right?

Wow, the red in your lipstick looks so rich and delicious! What a fantastic color!
This are beautiful things indeed. (I'm always so overwhelmed at the Mac counter - so many gorgeous products - that in the end I leave without buying anything).
Strangely the winter blues hasn't caught up with me yet - I blame it on the mild weather. xoxo
I am so feeling the January blues too :( buying a lipstick is an instant cheer up though!
