Vintage Blouse

hat - urban outfitters, blouse - vintage, skirt - french connection, shoes - dune

I borrowed this vintage blouse off my mum today and fell in love.

The blouse itself was from a vintage shop near where I live, and has no label so I have no idea if it is actually vintage or just from last year. It feels practically unworn though, and very good quality, so I don't think it's last season primark or anything!

Sorry mum, not sure this one is going to make it back to you!

Ooooh very nice. I so wish Iould get away with borrowing clothes or shoes from my mum, unfortunately, we are nowhere near close enough in size.

Rather like that skirt also.

I love the skirt colour and the lines of that blouse are lovely. I know what you mean about the difference in the quality of construction when you compare some vintage and high street, plus it's always nice to have something a bit different.

Teehee, I've 'borrowed' many of mum's items that haven't made their way back to her, too! You look lovely here, Harriet. I adore that lipstick color on you!

Gosh I love that blouse so much! Mums do in fact have the best taste when it comes to clothes. At first glance I thought it may have been a Celia Birtwell print, it's definitely got a vintage appeal to it xxx

I definitely think you need to tell your mum that this blouse should live with you. I'm sure she owns enough clothes anyway....!

It's such a lovely style. There's always something retro but elegant about belled sleeves.

I quite agree that this blouse should now be yours....I'd be surprised if your mum wears it with half as much aplomb as you do....you look like a vintage pixie off for a stroll down that there achingly cool part of london where the other vintage people do dwell!!

This is a definite lucky borrow. My sister's closet used to always be my favourite shop. The colours and details in these photographs stand out beautifully. Well done, as ever.
