A while back I wrote a post about one of my favourite places to eat in Oxford - Fratelli's. Since then it has morphed into a new restaurant called Atomic Pizza, so with some trepidation James and I visited this weekend to see if it was anywhere near as good as it used to be.

The restaurant has gone from a cosy Italian style pizzeria to an American comic book themed diner, and though I wasn't a massive fan of the new decor the food was still pretty yummy!

I ordered a milkshake and their amazing beer battered onion rings (which are pretty much my favourite food ever) which I loved, but the burger wasn't as good as I had hoped. I should have followed James' advice and had a pizza really - the clue is kind of in the name!

These pictures are making me hungry for burgers and onion rings.... at 10am.... Shame the burger wasn't as good as hoped, I really hate it when that happens.

This looks AMAZING! So many cute touches, like the Vimto lollies and the tin cutlery pot. I've never been to Oxford, but this is on the list. :)

Yep, that milkshake looks pretty amazing! I'm totally craving milkshake right now! I haven't had one for months (it's not what I'm usually craving in the winter) :)

These photos (and the food, obviously) look amazing. I'd love to try it. If the interior has any of the warm light these have, it may appear as a future location, I feel. Thanks for the tip.

Those onion rings look amazing! I love a good onion ring, can't bear frozen ones that go all soggy and horrid.

you'd think the burgers would be good as the owners are also responsible for atomic burger just a little way along cowley road...I ate there once but have never tried the pizza version!

Great theme for a restaurant, but it's a shame it's replaced a cosy and quiet traditional Itlian! The food looks great though, quite similar to Nando's which is always a good thing!
