It's a Spring Thing

I wore this outfit last weekend for my pre-birthday birthday celebrations. My Birthday is actually tomorrow, but last weekend I had a little family celebration and went to Westfields in Stratford with my mum and then out for Tapas with my parents in the evening. I introduced my mum to Pinkberry frozen yoghurt, which is the queen of the frozen yoghurt establishments in my opinion.

I didn't end up buying much really, which was fine - I think there's not really a lot in the shops I am desiring at the moment. Everywhere seems to be crazy prints, too sheer blouses and cut outs which necessitate not wearing a bra.

I think I have the same complaint every spring/summer, but I really wish shops would take a moment to consider the wearability of summer clothes. I want to be able to wear summer dresses and tops without having to wear a camisole or something underneath to make them decent!

Anyway rant over, I'm off to do some more birthday related things! Have a great weekend!

I love this outfit combination, I definitely want to start wearing more colourful trousers this season. I hate the whole bra situation with certain dress styles, Topshop has a certain style I love with a criss-cross back!

Happy Birthday for tomorrow! I love the shoes you're wearing here.
And I totally agree about summer clothes, I love dressing for summer but also need things that are appropriate for living in a city and can be worn with underwear! x

Happy Happy Birthday to you! I love the color of those pants. I keep seeing so many bright pants in the shops; I can't decide what color to get. I agree with you about the summer dresses with the cutouts though. It's just not appropriate for a lot of dressier occasions anyway. I mean, would you go to a wedding with your stomach showing? I don't think so. And I wish they'd consider where bra straps go, etc. Anyway, hope you have an excellent birthday weekend. :)

It is annoying having to wear something under a sheer top - who thought having to wear layers in the summer was logical (even if this is Britain!).
Hope you have a great birthday! :) xo

Happy B day. I love the pants, you can pretty much dress them as up or down as you would like to. I think that I have seen them before in a different outfit? Could be wrong. Anyways, cheers!

Happy Birthday. I love your pretty top. I agree clothes need to be wearable although I am loving all the bright prints that are around. I can't wear anything too thin or cut out.
