Chambray

For the longest time I have wanted a chambray shirt. I've always had this idea that I would find an amazing vintage one for 50p in a charity shop, but alas I never quite found exactly what I wanted, so last week I gave up and ordered my perfect shirt of ASOS. Needless to say my shirt and I are very happy together!

It is so ridiculously soft and thick - with a really nice lining as well. As soon as my mum saw it she said 'you are gonig to own that shirt forever' and I really think that is true. It arrived on Saturday and I put it on immediately and haven't wanted to take it off since! It's the sort of thing that will never really go out of style, and I can see myself being 30, 40 or 50 and still wearing it and loving it, which is not something I can say about many of my clothes!

I love chambray shirts too, they just go with almost everything and they always look good, I don't know how. You look lovely!

And how on earth have you got such a gorgeous skin?? I request a skin care post pretty please. xxx

I was just about to say 'your skin looks AMAZING' & just noticed the person above me did the same! You must be glowing, girl!

I think that's a wonderful way to think about clothing - what would take you through life? You know a chambray shirt is never going to go 'out of fashion' but even if you did, it's the amount you love it that prevails all. I really, really like it by the way!

Ah I've been eyeing this shirt for a while, and your post is making me even more tempted!
It really seems to go with everything and Fred Perry's clothes are such good quality indeed.

Such a gorgeous shirt, and it's always nice to know your investing in such a treasured garment. The skirt is equally as gorgeous too xxx

I normally almost avoid brands, but there's something about the understated quality and timeless charm of a Fred Perry that leaves me coveting. The shirt does look wonderfully comfortable and versatile. Your Mum sounds like a wise woman with a sense of style herself! I agree with the comments about your skin too- you really look relaxed and natural here. Have a fine week.

It looks like the perfect shirt. You'll be able to wear it with jeans, or even over a skirt. Can't wait to see more of it.

it's a cracker for sure, they really do go with most things (well in my case they do). i reckon i have about 5 blue chambray shirts, it's became a sort of uniform over the last year or so. either that or an oxford

I need a chambray shirt in my life! I love pieces like the chambray or the white skirt or LBD because they last forever (well perhaps not forever ever...but might as well be "forever" in the fast pacedness of the ficcle fashion world!)

Really cute outfit, it really suits you. I've been wanting a skirt like this for a while now, I can imagine wearing it with knee lengh socks and sandals. Or white tights. Hmmm, want one even more now.

Has the added bonus of looking really warm too! xx
