Dough, Manchester

I spent the bank holiday weekend in Manchester. I've visited for work before but never had the opportunity to properly look round, so when I spotted cheap deal online I decided to make a trip back to see what the city was really like.

It was mainly just an opportunity to recharge my batteries - I basically slept and ate all weekend! But we wandered round a few museums and of course made a trip to the shops too!

My favourite meal of the weekend was a trip to a pizza restaurant in the Northern quarter called Dough. It was recommended by the guide to Manchester left in our hotel room, which isn't always the best recommendation(!) but as big pizza fans James and I thought it was worth a try - and it was so good! The pizza was nice, although the desserts and starters were what really made it for me - a gooey baked Camembert with dough sticks to start and to finish gluten free cheesecake which was every bit as good as a gluten-full one! My mouth is watering just remembering it!

It's very important to catch up on one's sleep. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in Manchester.
Would love to hear a bit more on the exhibitions you saw?;-)

Gaah! My mouth is watering right now and I just had dinner. The Camembert, aaaah, and the pizza looks pretty awesome too! I'm going to northern France and Brugges this weekend so I'll have plenty of food pictures for next week :) Glad you got yourselves some rest!

Ok, I just drooled all over my keyboard. Either these photos are fantastic, or it's time for dinner. Likely both! :)
Also, dough is such a good name for a restaurant.
