I wore this outfit on Saturday to a meeting at my bank. I was trying to give off a 'I am a serious professional woman, but it is the weekend' sort of a vibe - what do you think? Does it say professional woman on her day off to you?!

After that I met up with two of my old school friends for dinner, and dragged my boyfriend along too. We went to Dishoom for dinner, and then sneakily went to a different restaurant for dessert and cocktails after! I love doing this, but apparently it's a very American thing to do, and James hates it because he thinks if you've committed to a restaurant you should stay there for the whole meal. Is this something you'd do? Or do you believe you have a commitment to the restaurant you started in? I'm always very upfront about it, and say to the maitre'd that we just want to come for drinks/dessert, so I figure if they have the chance to say no to us in the hopes of getting more money out of the next people then that come along then it's fine.

Love the outfit! Very professional!
Good to know someone else does that too! I never used to, but this year it seems to have become a habit...Haha

I love this outfit - grown up but still casual. When I was a student I used to just go to restaurants for coffee and dessert - so much more affordable and still feels like a treat! I think in current times restaurants should be happy for any customers coming through their doors regardless of whether they're having a three course meal or just dessert. x

You most certainly do look like a professional woman on her day off - I love the scarf & skirt!
I've never though of leaving one restuarant for another - but I wouldn't have any qualms about it! Xo

YOU RESTAURANT WHORE!

Only kidding, I've never done that but wouldn't be against it. Who's he, the food police?! ;)

I love the outfit, the scarf definitely adds a touch of something, very professional indeed ;)
I'd never heard of people doing that in restaurants, I quite like the idea though! xo

This is a PERFECT look!

Also, I like to go to different places for different parts of my meal. I don't think you have to commit to one, and I'm also always upfront about it!

I think it's the start of a good 'I'm a serious adult' weekend outfit, but a bank meeting needs a serious handbag. Something large and probably in tan leather.

The closest I've come to switching restaurants is deciding that the desserts on the menu sounded rubbish, so leaving and getting a McFlurry!

Not only does the outfit give off an "I am a professional laideee" vibe it gives off a " I am a stylish and super pretty and have an awesome skirt whilst being a professional laidee"

Definitely professional woman in a day off look-love it! I sort of feel committed to a restaurant when I eat a main meal there, but there is no real logic behind it. You can see it as helping two businesses to stay...in business! xx

Yes, very professional/casual weekender. Love the scarf and your shoes. :)

Is that American? Haha. I don't know. I have gone to restaurants a few times for dessert/coffee only, but like you, I always tell them upfront and we tip well, so I've never had any complaints.

The outfit is definitely 'weekend professional'. I do love the scarf!

Haha, I tend to have desserts in the same place (usually as I'm too lazy to go somewhere else), but funnily enough don't have drinks at the same place.

Super cute outfit, you definitely look responsible yet off-duty :-). I have totally done dessert at a different restaurant, sometimes places are better at different courses and it's nice to get a different vibe, especially if there are cocktails involved! X

Love the outfit! And I'm totally in for changing restaurant for dessert and cocktails! Why not? :)

I think it's a supercute look - about the level of office appropriateness I can hardly contribute, as I had a 'she's European, they wear 'strange' things' (i.e. short skirts etc.) exception in my former office.

Restaurant... I feel committed, but that's just me.

I think it is best to wait a bit after dinner, and go elsewhere. Most places that I frequent for dessert only serve dessert! Dammit! Now I want dessert!

The scarf is gorgeous and such a lovely colour too. You are very much the professional woman, I adore the way you've styled this outfit xxx

Love this look, especially the scarf!

Eating elsewhere for dessert sounds perfectly reasonable to me - although I am not exactly miss manners, haha! Never take my advice on anything relating to etiquette!

I love this outfit! You look very springy & happy & relaxed. I love the whole idea of going someplace else for dessert - I do it sometimes, as desserts in certain places can be dire, but sometimes I'm too lazy to move! Swings & roundabouts.

It just depends on the restaurant I guess but if the food AND the drinks are great, I am always a loyal customer :) But changing the atmosphere and sneaking out is always fun! Loved your shoes and the sailor vibe! xx

I'd say this was a great outfit to wear to the bank. One one hand it says your a confident, mature bank do-gooder and on the other it shows you're not all numbers and doom because you have style! I love how you have teamed navy and tan, the colours just work so well against each other!
