Twinings

At University I used to drink a lot of tea, but these days I have to say coffee has become my hot drink of choice. In the words of my favourite Buffy quote 'Tea is soothing, I wish to be tense!'

However Twinings offered to send me a box of tea to celebrate the fact that you can now buy tea online, and so I decided it was probably time to get back into tea. And it's actually pretty nice! There is something soothing about a cup of tea that coffee just can't match, and a herbal tea before bed, or on a relaxing holiday afternoon is definitely being added to my routine.

It reminds me of this perfect extract from the Chinese Tea Reader I posted years ago (well, 2010!) that I came across while visiting a tea house in Budapest on holiday with my friends. We'd spent the whole holiday rushing around trying to see and do everything possible, and then on one of the last days of the holiday we visited this teahouse down a random sidestreet in Pest, and just sat and drank tea in the dim light and properly relaxed. We emerged blinking and completely zen into the sunshine hours later feeling quite befuddled but so relaxed!

If you're a tea lover you can like the twinings facebook page too!

Twinings is wonderful but thank you for bringing me back to my own travels in Budapest! It's so lovely to be reminded of such fascinating place. Some days i forget i ever went there!

I'm not much of a tea drinker but my flat ate is OBSESSED, saying that my mum did bring me over a pack of special titanic tea

Mmm... Tea online! How awesome is that! I usually drink coffee but not for pleasure like when drinking tea. :)

That box of tea looks so lovely. I drink tea in the mornings before work but rarely drink it in the daytime anymore. x

I really don't drink much tea in the traditional sense but I do love some of the flavoured and fruity styles. I definitely need to buy some more when I'm bored of all the coffee I drink!

I drink lots of different beverages everyday, Milo, coffee, tea and herbal drinks. Current tea faves are brown rice green tea and apple tea.
How sweet of Twinings to send you such a pretty box to savour. Enjoy!

For me it's coffee in the morning, and tea from lunch-time on - but leaf tea only! On some things I insist on being puritanical. xo

Mmm I love tea, but post college I also got sucked into the coffee drinking masses. Do we just need more caffeine??
Anywho...that tea is the prettiest color, its like a jewel.

I find I go through tea drinking phases where either I obsessively have a cup every evening after dinner, or where I don't drink it for a whole month at a time. I'm just getting out of a dry spell, and am getting back into a cup a day again. Funny how that is!

Mmmm, I love herbal teas! Camomile is seriously the best for making you feel sleepy; it never fails me, & these days I can barely think about going to sleep without it.
