Phew, anyone else nearly get blown away this weekend?! When I took these photos I was terrified the whole way through that a gust of wind was going to blow my tripod over and my camera was going to be smashed to pieces! Thankfully that didn't happen, but I'm poised to run and try and save it in each photo!

I also abandoned my usual skirts in favour of trousers, to avoid everyone seeing more than they might wish to, courtesy of a stiff breeze! I have been that girl, it's so embarassing!

I have these trousers, they're great for brightening up a dull day without being too garish!

p.s. I've SO been that girl with the skirt up around her head...cringe.

these trousers are great! I literally spent the whole weekend clutching on to my dress to not totally lose my dignity! xx

I stupidly wore a skirt on Saturday when I ventured out. Despite wearing uber thick tights, I'm sure some people caught sight of my bum as the wind blew. Needless to say, I wore jeans on Sunday :) x

Love the colour of those trousers on you!!
Such a shame it's still cold and windy. I need summer.

Oh Harriet you look LOVELY! The trousers and breton stripe are a perfect outfit and yes nobody wants to be the girl with the skater skirt getting blown all the way up down the street! Really really love those sandal shoes, Zara and Topshop have amazing ones lately so I'm dead tempted! And it's been quite sunny where I live lately but that makes no difference. Long skirts and pants all the way!

Really like the shape of the trousers. And stripes obviously.

Yes, wearing skirts can be risky sometimes, especially in liverpool where it is ALWAYS windy, but it's a risk I'm willing to take ;-) if only I looked as lovely as you do in trousers though.

Yes I did and I had possibly the most inconvenient dress on - flashed at least 57377366767 times! Lovely outfit!

It was SO stormy... exciting. Lovely, lovely outfit and saving you from unwanted Marilyn moments, which I quite like - on others :)

I find trousers ideal for such windy weather - decided last year after exposing myself in what seemed like half my accommodation building!of course what seemed like hundreds of people might have actually been just a couple but you can never be too safe!heheh!

I love your stripey top, such a classic piece, I stupidly choose to wear a scarf when it was really windy on the weekend and spent the whole day hanging on to it.

Oh Harriet... I have been that girl too! A couple of summers ago I was in Milan with my mum and one of those moments happened. Instead of commisserating with me, she said, "At least you were wearing nice knickers!" LOL. Mums *rolls eyes*

I always love a striped shirt. You look very casual chic. :) A lot of people say to wear bicycle shorts under skirts on windy days, but I still think it would be embarrassing to have your skirt blow up and bicycle shorts be on view, so I just try to avoid wearing dresses and skirts on windy days too, though I guess you'd be fine in a pencil skirt. :)

These shoes are really nice and I love the touch with the scarf <3 I felt exhausted with the wind too, it took walk anywhere!
