Each Peach

I'm on a bit of a healthy eating kick at the moment. My skin is not looking it's best and I know I don't eat enough fruit and vegetables, so I've gone a bit fruit mad! I'm not really a fruit fan to be honest, so I'm trying to find more interesting fruits and more interesting ways of getting them into my meals. So far the goats cheese and apple toasted sandwich I had for lunch on Sunday is the clear winner, but there's something delicious and summery about a perfectly ripe peach that is pretty good too!

Do you have any tips to help me fit more fruit and veggies into my daily routine?

I've fallen out of way with my healthy eating, but when I was pregnant I made an extra effort to make sure I got my five a day (and then some!). Even something simple like putting bananas, apples and/or raisins in cereal or adding fruit to yoghurt works! :)

you gotta keep some fruit in your bag, apples are good cos they don't squish down like a banana. get them sliced in certain and drink the juices as that's easy

I love using my juicer and through a combination of fruits together. Quick and easy way to get several portions in one go.

I will never eat peach by itself, but I will eat it if it's with a selection of fruit. I'm far too picky when it comes to fruit though xxx

I'm trying a fruit-kick too, I've just got lots of strawberries and mango in so I can make smoothies :D

I find that the easiest way to have many fruits at once, and cheaply, is to make frozen smoothies. My favorite combinations are with bananas, assorted berries and mango. You can use almond milks to keep it healthy and choose a chocolate flavor too :o That has been my loophole for fruit/sweets for a long time. It's so healthy and great for your skin! :)

In the Summer I forever stock up on (cheap!) in season fruit from the village greengrocers...The other day I bought six peaches, a tub of raspberries and a melon for £2!

Your photography is beautiful. I love fruit now and eat loads of it but barely touched fruit until I was 18. I love stawberries and raspberries, no peeling, no effort and they taste like summer even if our weather is like November. x

I'm having a bit of a healthy fruit and veg stint at the moment as well. I find its helpful to have small things like grapes or strawberries to munch on through the day when you get a little hungry. Also fruit salad for breakfast is always nice :) xx

The skin on peaches tends to freak me out so I always have to peel them. Same with pears! Otherwise I absolutely love fruit, especially strawberries and watermelons in the summer.

Roasted veg (peppers, tomatoes, baby corn, courgettes) and cream cheese make an amazing toastie. Brie, apple and grapes make a tasty sandwich.

What, not a fruit fan?! That's just crazy! I could eat solely fruit for the rest of my life and be content. ;)
I love peaches too. One of my favourites. Same they don't stay in season very long around here. Right now, I'm on a watermelon kick/obsession. So good. <3

Nothing beats a lovely ripe peach - or a strawberry or some other wonderful berry... BUT I think eating vegetables is MUCH MORE important than fruit which contain quite a lot of sugar and often leave me hungry. My guess for the perfect ratio is 5:1 vegetables : fruit - but it has to be LOADS of vegetables! xoxo

I know people always go on about drinking enough water but if I'm ever having a bad skin day - I try and drink an extra glass on a morning and before I head to bed and it really helps sort my skin out! It might be worth a try as well as your 5 a days! x

I eat a salad for lunch almost everyday to get my 5 a day. Or fruit with some pancakes - naughty and nice all at the same time!

I love fruit but strangely Idon't eaat a lot of them. My trick is to just incorporate them in everything you eat.Sandwhich?Noodles?Lasagna?Use plenty of vegetables and there you are!

Your picture of the disappearing peaches is cute! I have a hard time eating fruit too - it usually ends up in a muffin or a cobbler. Maybe you could try a smoothy with greek yogurt?

Goats cheese and apple sounds delicious. I love roast vegetables. I buy lots of blueberries and strawberries in the summer and put them on porridge or have them with yoghurt or icecream.Smoothies are really easy for lunch times too. My favourite at the moment is roast quash, rocket and goats cheese.

The thing that did it for me was subscribing to a fruit and veg box during uni. It really challenged what I would usually cook with and made me try lots of new recipes. I resubscribed to a local one when I moved to Leeds and it costs me £9 per week and lasts all week too. Goats cheese and apple sounds amazing by the way, gotta try that one. x
