top - topshop, skirt - miss selfridge, bracelet - vintage, shoes - bata
This is what I wore on Saturday for an unintentional lazy day. Not going to lie, I went out on Friday with work and ended up drinking a liiittle too much, so my Saturday - which was going to be filled with productive things like studying and going for a run became more about lying in bed moaning about how awful I felt and watching copious amounts of The West Wing!
This skirt is one I haven't worn in quite a long time. I know I've had it ages time because it features in my what I wore in 2009 post loads - a major trip down memory lane! I kind of love that I have an archive of outfits going back four years now - its quite fun to look back at what I wore and how my style has changed - or not! This is definitely the sort of classic weekend outfit I have worn over and over again. Skater skirt? check! stripey top? check! vintage jewellery? check! Oxfords? check!

This is such an adorable outfit :) And another reminder that I really should get round to buying a stripey top to wear with twirly skirts.

Love the skirt, so cute! You're looking tres French my dear x
Whenever I wear navy tops on black I feel weird, I don't know why. But seeing that this actually works on you makes me give it another try! Loved the look x

What a lovely and playful outfit! I have a bow skirt as well and it always makes me feel so feminine as soon as I wear it x
This is lazy? I'd wear this out! Skirts do not equal lazy to me - quite the opposite! My lazy days are jeans & tshirts! Haha. It's an absolutley gorgeous skirt though, it's always great finding old favourites in the back of the cupboard! Xo
Lovely outfit! I like how your striped top has a white collar and the skirt has a bow!
Oh I wish I was so pulled together on my lazy days, something for me to aspire to :)
this ribbon of skirt is so cute *-*
great outfit!
Ahhh Harriet this outfit looks gorgeous on you! I would love to have this as an outfit choice. Love your little booties too so cute :)
Gorgeous outfit. Stripes & bows, what could be better.
Love this outfit, the skirt is so cute and while I love having new items to wear and style its also really nice to have things that last though changes in season and trends. x
That's such a cute skirt. And I love your stripes too! It's so cool that we have archives of our outfits. I love seeing how my (and my fav bloggers) style has grown.
Love this outfit, the skirt is gorgeous. It must be nice being able to look back so far at what you used to wear :) x
Adorable! Love that skirt!
xx
Oh this outfit is soo french! I love collar and jumper combos. And skater skirts have been on my fashion radar lately so much! Just bought loads of them for my holiday and thanks to you I may buy just a few more :)

Dude, you don't even want to know what my lazy outfit consists of. You'd laugh at me. Hah.
Basically, this is a super duper adorable outfit in my eyes. Probably even nicer then my regular day-to-day outfits!

I wish I was more diligent about taking outfit pics for the same reason, because it would be fun to look back and see what I was wearing! Your lazy day outfit is much fancier than my typical lazy day attire, which usually involves pajama bottoms with some sort of ridiculous print, old t shirts, and cozy cardigans.
you're pretty darn chic you know
OMG Harriet, this is beyond adorable. You look fantastic- so playful- I love the skirt! (p.s this is Elle from Elle Enchanted, but I don't link to the blog anymore since it doesn't exist anymore).
Perfect, I love this outfit so much!

Looking lovely! Your hair's getting really long, it suits you. xx
for a lazy day you are lookin' pretty darn lovely! my lazy days (which are very often!) usually consist of me not changing out of my pajamas until the next day! i am such a hobo, hehe.
i adore that skirt on you! i've been on the lookout for a slightly flared mini skirt for a while now, this is just lovely.
xx
cute combo! i love the bow on your skirt. :)
Love that this is lazy for you. I'm currently drowning in paper (EU LAw and a few bit of s Equity floating around) wearing jersey tracksuit bottoms, a Danger Mouse Tee, no make up and my hair is hating me for screwing it up into yet another topknot.
The skirt is lovely, it's awesome to rediscover a love for something that you used to wear a lot but haven't for a while, having the same thing with city shorts in my wardrobe presently. Also how amazing to have a 4 year archive. As I don't do outfit posts very often, I don't have so much of that, but there's still some kind of time line across the last 2 years.
Oh, and P.S. you've just inspired my next post- What I Wish I Were Wearing!
If this is your lazy day outfit, you sure do put me to shame! I love the skirt xxx
You look lovely! Your hair is getting so long!! x
Your lazy outfit is so much more fabulous than mine! haha Love the bow :)
Bed and West Wing sounds like a pretty good day to me! Sorry about the hangover. Luckily you look super cute in your skirt. X
