Vans

Originally I was going to wear this outfit to see Coldplay yesterday (so so good!) but the weather was looking particularly gloomy so I changed into black tights and boots at the last minute.

These Vans (the shoes! For those as clueless as me!) were sent to me by Cloggs, and the first thing my sister said when she saw them was 'those aren't very you!' It's true Vans are not my usual style but one thing I love about having a blog is it forces me to experiment and try new things and in this case I am so glad I took a chance. Also, how did I never realise trainers were so comfy before?! Fashion sacrilege I know!

I really love the mix of quite a girly outfit with an androgenous element and I can definitely see them becoming my staple summer shoes. Provided I can get over my fear of getting them dirty of course!

Oh I think you really suit them. And comfortable feet are the most important thing.

I love my Vans, they're so blissfully comfy! They're not great in the rain it turns out but you can't have it all, I suppose. X

Haha I love how pristene Vans and Converse are before you wear them! I've worn my converse to death - they're so comfy and practical :) ~ox

I have such a soft spot for vans, I've been lusting after some neon ones but they seem out of stock everywhere in my size :(

Bizarrely, I managed to track down these Vans I've wanted for ages this morning just before reading this post. One thing though- are you wearing them with nude tights?!
Also, the whole point is to get them dirty, I can't stand it when my Converses are pristine and white, I grubby them up as soon as possible!

I'm a Vans girl all the way (clearly!) And I love getting them dirty.

You styled yours so well. Love how you paired them with a bright skirt.

I haven't looked at Vans shoes since I was at school but these look really cute and very different to the Vans that I remember! Very jealous that you saw Coldplay. x

mmhmmm you can't move for vans these days, their sales must be extreme. mine are on their last legs after 5 years, the holes in the bottom aren't helping. looks sweet

I love this outfit, the skirt is really nice and I particularly like how the Vans look with it.

I am quite the contrary, I wear canvas trainers way too much. They're just so comfy...

I would never have thought to pair them with this outfit but you look AMAZING!

Oh this outfit is very sailorish and very French! I know what you mean about wearing Vans...they aren't my usual style either and I haven't wore them since my punky days when I was 15! However I did revive the love for my converse the other day and it felt like I was walking on a cloud (for my feet anyway!) Maybe I ought to give my Vans another go?

They're lovely on you! I don't wear Vans myself since I am a converse kinda girl but trainers are my favourite kind of shoe everrrrr.

I know what you're saying completely in this post! I'm wanting to try some Vans myself - I feel like they can fill the gap where Converse can't, because they're more flattering. I find that only really skinny models can pull off converse in a cool, fashiony way! They look great with your outfit and I bet theyre really comfy too :)

In love with the colour of your skirt, i keep trying to locate a pinkish/coral shade in a decent length but had no luck just yet. Footwear envy also! x

I used to own a pair of Vans in my teens and loved them so! Feeling a little nostalgic towards them right now. Equally love Converse too xxx

You lucky thing, vans are pricey! They'll look super sweet with summer dresses and stripped tee's! There the type of thing you can make your style the more you wear them, I think they really suit you! x
