GHD Oval Dressing Brush

I am pretty sure I'm not the only girl for whom getting her first set of GHDs was a revalation. I have always had fine, frizzy hair which goes nuts at a hint of rain, and no matter how perfectly I blow dry it always looks a state as soon as I step out of the house. GHDs totally changed that, and suddenly I had the smooth, perfect hair I'd always dreamt of (yipee!)

A couple of years ago now I cut said long straight hair all off, and although I instantly regretted it I have to admit my short hair was a lot easier to maintain, to the point where I didn't really need to dry it or brush it at all.

Although I have spent the past two years growing it long again, I am still out of the habit of brushing my hair, and when my hairdresser spent about half an hour yanking my head this way and that trying to get a comb through it last week I realised that just maybe the time had come to get a hairbrush again...

I was pretty lucky that as I was starting to shop for a good quality hairbrush GHD got in touch and asked if I wanted to review one of their hairbrushes. They have a new range of hair products and given my love of my GHD straighteners I knew they would be a pretty safe bet so I chose the Oval Dressing Brush.

I feel like Rapunzel when I use it - my hair feels so smooth and tangle free! Less evil witches and towers involved though thankfully. Plus on their website GHD include videos of how to style your hair with each product, which I love as I am always in need of help in that department!

It really was a revelation! I loved my ghds (swapped them now for a different brand though). The packaging of that brush is so pretty! Xo

Curling with hot tongs maybe in my youth, but I never use hair straighteners, and the one time my hair has been straightened, I've absolutely hated the effect. Because of this, I've never really had much use for GHD products, but I was given this brush at an event earlier in the year, and it is a total god send at smoothing my hair every day - I do not know what I'd do without it!

A good hair brush is worth A LOT! I use a broad wooden comb after washing my hair. xo
