My flat is finally looking tidy and attractive enough to take a few photos! It's certainly not perfect, and of course, I've missed out the bits where we haven't finished unpacking or it's not quite as I'd like it, but these are my favourite spots sround my home.
Our sofa is my favourite place to be ever. It's the Ikea Karlstad, with covers in Isunda grey, and it's so comfortable and perfect I never want to leave it! The cushions are from my childhood bedroom which was really purple, and the framed poster was from the Victoria and Albert museum a few years ago when they had an exhibition on couture. The bear's name is Barnaby.
The coffee table is actually an old pine chest which I've had again since I was little. We don't have room really to put it in front of the sofa so it sits in the window to one side. I really want to replace the handle, which has fallen off, with a nice new one, but I haven't found one the right size yet. Inside it's covered in some wallpaper which probably tells you which decade it was originally made in! It's perfect for hiding away all our dvds, but we're starting to have to double stack them now.
We only have one wardrobe in the flat, and the rail is too high for me to reach, so it made sense for my boyfriend to take over that one and me to have a pop-up rail in the study. It's actually suiting me really well as I can see everything I have really easily, and nothing gets lost at the back of the wardrobe!
And finally yes I am obsessed about keeping our cupboards perfectly ordered, and colour coordinated too!
If you've done a home tour or a room tour on your blog please link me to it in the comments as I'd love to see. I am a bit obsessed with them!

Gorgeous new home! I love the little bear Barnaby, I think the small touches are always the most lovely. I've been dreaming of my own clothes rail for years, much more colourful and exciting than a wardrobe xxx
your place looks lovely :) I love the lining inside the chest even if no one really sees it (I've got similar nice lining to my trunk and never get to admire it!) xx
looking good so far :) loving that chest as a dvd storage space. Also, the clothes rail, no doubt full of pretty items, kinda makes a little room feature in itself! X
congrats for new home!
Congratulations on your new home, it looks absolutely gorgeous! Barnaby is super cute <3

It all looks so lovely, Harriet! (it is a lot of work to get a new home sorted :) ... I fear there will be myriads of interior design posts on my blog now - so we can bounce ideas of each other. xoxo
It looks lovely! I'm jealous of your sofa, ours is all lumpy and uncomfortable and a weird faded green/blue colour, blech. I keep meaning to do a "house tour" post, but it's never quite tidy enough for photos.
Oh it's lovely! There is nothing more exciting than your first home.
I'm doing a tour of my new student room this week :) Heyy Barnaby, aha. Love the V&A poster.
Ooh, I love that retro lining in the chest/coffee table.
I wish I had a home to tour. I guess I better get started on making my dorm room look better. It's already been over a month since I've been living there, but it's still pretty boring.

YAY FINALLY. I've been dying to see your new place, it looks absolutely lovely <3 I am in love with the pine chest (and you seduced me with your very organized cupboard). I'm sure you'll complete everything you need in no time, arranging the home is just so much fun.

Love little touches in your home. The DVD storage and your bear, Barnaby. I couldn't begin to do home tours at the moment, our rented flat in Cumbria is in a state of chaos where my dad and I are only there a few days per week, the house is a war zone with no kitchen or bathrooms at the moment, and T's flat is... interesting!
Congrats on your new home! I love peeks into people's homes. I wish you both much joy and laughter in your new space. x
