This one time, at fashion week (as all good stories start!) I ended up accidentally on purpose in the Glam lounge because my feet hurt and I really wanted a sandwich and somehow ended up leaving three hours later with a bag full of rimmel goodies and a load of new (and old) blogger friends.
It's taken me a while to blog about the makeup because I have never really used rimmel products before, or at least not since I was about 13 or 14 and they've definitely gone through at least one rebrand since then, so I didn't want to judge them by the 13-year-old-me's taste. Since I started using makeup more as an adult I've always stuck to higher end brands, so it's a nice change to try a brand again that I used to use to give my friends horrific makeovers at sleepovers back in the day! I got given five of the Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte lipsticks, and I've worn them all now, so I thought I'd jot down a few thoughts.

This purpley-red is such a great colour - I wish it suited me better than it does. The colour is just too bold for me to get away with apart from at Halloween though! I do wish Rimmel had given the lipsticks names rather than just numbers though - this is shade 107, which just doesn't sound that exciting when you say it really.

I've worn this colour a few times now, and it is a very pretty orangey pink colour. I think the orange isn't as good with my skintone as a more bluey toned red, but it's been long lasting and doesn't go too flakey when I forget to reapply, which are my main requirements for lipsticks!

This is probably my least favourite of all the colours, apart from shade 113 which was so hideously wrong I didn't even take a photo(!) This was a surprise as I am usually a big fan of dusky pinks. I just don't think it was pigmented enough for me unfortunately.

Which leads me on to my favourite, and possibly my favourite lip colour of all time. Randomly this is the only one of the shades which has a name. It's 'kiss of life' and it's just basically the perfect red lipstick ever.
The colour is super bright but flattering, and I love the bluey undertones as they really work for me. This will definitely be my go to autumn and winter lip colour. The lipsticks are £5.49 each apparently, which is pretty damn good compared to what I usually spend!
Finally this is what it looked like after I'd taken all these photos:
I much prefer to see makeup actually on rather than just swatched in reviews, so I spent ages applying and reapplying! What do you think - to swatch or not to swatch?
