Joules Jacket

jacket courtesy joules, jumper - french connection, collar - cos, skirt - americal apparel, boots - schuh

I am quite obsessed with having the perfect capsule collection of coats and jackets. I can tick off most of the classics - the wollen winter coat, the trench and the leather biker jacket but I really wanted something smarter than my leather jacket but lighter than my winter coat, that I could wear casually and to work this spring. Joules is a very 'country' brand, which I was introduced to when I visited Farlows back in 2011, and when they offered to send me something I headed straight to the women's jackets page and picked out this quilted coat.

I love the bright patterned lining and the smart style, and it fits perfectly into the little niche that needed filling in my coat collection! I love adding a little bit of country into my wardrobe as well, and being a total city bumpkin with all the ignorance that comes with that I discovered all sorts of things on the Joules website I never knew existed (Joules Wellibobs anyone? Apparently that's what you call a short wellington boot!)

James told me the outfit wasn't complete until I have a shotgun over my arm, but I shall ignore him and enjoy pretending my walk to the tube is actually a stroll through the fields each morning!

I think it's lovely - you don't need a shotgun at all!
Funnily enough, though, the new office I've just moved to is in some estate grounds and every now and then shots are fired as the owner is off out with his pals shooting pheasants, so I'm thinking I need some more Joules in my life to fit in...

Love the word 'wellibob'! Had no idea that's what short wellies were called : ) That outfit looks fab on you and I love the lining - it's very different from the a typical quilted jacket.

Ohh, I love this one, and the linings are fab, are they not? They sent me a green one which I enjoyed during the one or two cool days we had here in LA! http://www.rachelphipps.com/2013/01/outfit-post-joules-quilted-jackets-or.html

I just love these jackets. Hobbs had a longer version a few years ago and it was my favourite jacket of the season. This looks so practical and definitely smart! You look lovely <3
