Uniqlo Jeans

top - borrowed off my mum, jeans courtesy uniqlo, bracelet - vintage, boots - schuh

I don't know if this is normal or not, but at twenty six years of age what you see in these photos is my first ever pair of skinny jeans. I've always felt self conscious of my thighs, and the tapering style of most skinnies just seemed to emphasise everything I hated even more.

I have been branching out into trousers more and more though, and so when uniqlo offered to send me a piece of clothing to try out I decided it was time to give uniqlo jeans a go. What particularly tempted me is that these are uniqlo's 'skinny-straight' jeans - skinny at the top but with a straight leg at the bottom.

This works so much better for me as I think the straight leg balances out the bits I don't like about myself, and although I still feel a bit self conscious I really like these jeans and I'm really happy with the fit. As with everything Uniqlo, they are really well made and very reasonably priced. I already want them in a whole rainbow of colours!

I would never have guessed you have concerns abut your thighs?! It goes to show that negative body image affects women of all different sizes. The skinnies look great!

These look great on you, I love the colour for summer too. I actually never wear jeans or trousers as I'm paranoid that they make my short legs even shorter - I keep saying that I'll give them a go but never seem to get round to actually trying any on! x

The slouchy shirt looks super comfy. And I think I have bigger thighs too, but I love my skinnies.

You have NO reason to feel self conscious in these, they look great on you! There are so many different styles of skinny jeans around, but most people are put off by the really skinny/tapered styles that aren’t very easy to wear, to give any other kind of skinny jean a go. I wish I could rock a pair of pink skinnies like this!

uniqlo is one of my fav shops for sure, so affordable and the quality is as good as any more me.

I think you made a really good choice and i think you look great in this style, personally i find a slightly roomier, slim jean much more classy and flattering

In my honest opinion, they look really good on you. The colour is particularly lovely, the coral-pink shades really suit you perfectly. Experimenting is good!

i'm the same with jeans! i don't particularly hate my thighs but i feel like they're always tight on my legs but then they're too loose on my stomach and don't suck it in enough and it makes me look bigger when i'm trying to look smaller. these look great on you though, i bought a pair that are really super high waisted the other week but i'm still yet to wear them. baby steps! haha.

Hell-ooooo! You're turning into a jeans nut! Withhold yourself! I like how you've dressed them. Sometimes with coloured jeans, especially brightly coloured jeans, it's easy to resort to a black or white monochrome top but you've gone all out & it works!
