Chocolate and Stawberry Sandwiches

strawberries-1
strawberries-2
strawberries-3

This is possibly my greatest or most horrific culinary creation depending on your point of view. I think I am making up for lost time with my chocolate spread addiction as I was never really into it as a child. Now however I am obsessed.

This particular work of chocolatey genius involves 45p half baked baguettes from sainsburies, fresh from the oven  after the second half of the baking is done, sliced in half and smothered in chocolate spread, then topped with fresh strawberries. The result is basically a dessert which you can totally claim is a main meal (because of the bread, obviously).

It's so wrong, and yet so incredibly right.

This sounds delicious! I think I'll be trying it later today. My weird but wonderful sandwich choice is cheese and jam - I get so many weird looks for this but it tastes so good!

This sounds amazing, you can;t go wrong with chocolate spread. Weirdly I like Bovril or Marmite on lettuce, it tastes amazing!

Genius! I think it would also work on a sweet bread like brioche. Or maybe that would be taking it too far?

perfect - this'll help me with my peanutbutter and banana sandwiches addiction! and I think ^ Jane ^ is right - this would be amazing on brioche.

Everyone knows chocolate and strawberries go together but I've never thought about putting them in a sandwich like that - will definately have to try it now! :-) x

I knew I was going to love this post as soon as I saw the title. That is definitely my kind of sandwich.

This looks amazing! I gave up bread for Lent and have pretty much stuck to it apart from "special occasions" - I think this could be the next one! x

Wow, that looks good! Just to make it even sicklier I think I'd switch the regular choc spread for white choc spread :)
