Arm Party

A while back I blogged about my scarf collection, and this week I've turned my camera on my bracelet and bangle collection. Taking these photos was a pretty frustrating experience, with me clanking and jingling all over the place as I attempted to take a photo with my arm in shot! But I managed to get a couple of ok photos at least.

I am not really one for an arm party in real life (again the noise and effort of wearing more than one bracelet at a time definitely puts me off!) but I love a statement bracelet on its own.

Top photo - left to right: The (costume) pearl and gold bracelet is vintage Trefari and comes with a matching necklace. I wear this bracelet so often I've bashed approximately half the pearls off, and so I really need to go to a haberdashery and find some similar pearls to stick back on and fix it. The red and gold bracelet was from my sister a couple of years ago. It's a lovely bracelet, but not that well made unfortunately, and the leather is starting to split. The gold bangle is vintage Kenneth Lane and a gift from my mum. It's my favourite for wearing everyday, and is one of the few I have that fits my freakishly small wrists really well. The black wooden bangle is another one I wear all the time. It' so easy to wear and goes with pretty much everything.

Bottom photo - left to right: The Kate Spade bangle is my most recent purchase, from the outlet at Bicester Village. It wasn't that reduced, but I fell in love and it came home with me in a beautiful green and gold box. My watch is a cheap casio I puchased from American Apparel at Kings Cross station. I was on my way to a work trip in Cambridge and realsied I had forgotten my usual watch, so ran round the station in the 10 minutes I had til my train to find the cheapest watch I could! The simple, classic style means it has gone from being an emergency purchase to the watch I wear every day. Finally a vintage Napier necklace that I wear all the time. I love it as both a necklace and a bracelet, and again it's so simple I end up wearing it all the time.

I love seeing people's collections and the stories associated with how they came to be yours. :)

You've got a lovely collection there! I'm with you on the jangliness of an arm party in practice though, I'm usually a one bracelet/cuff at a time kinda girl

Love your costume bangle but I also love the elegance and simplicity of the Kate Spade bangle. I used to wear bracelets a lot but eventually stopped when I went to art school as I got fed up of them dipping in my paint!

Oooh I love the vintage Kenneth Lane. I used to wear bracelets all the time but haven't been doing so lately. You have a lovely collection!

A lovely collection! The Kenneth Lane is my favourite. I know what you mean about noisy jangling, I love the look of an arm party but wish they could be seen and not heard. I tend to wear a watch, a leather strap type bangle and one other to minimise noise, otherwise they all get taken off in a huff :)

I love the look of arm party style piles of bracelets but I just don't get on with them - my wrists/hands are too skinny!
