Pinwheel Pizzas

We were asked to bring a plate of food to our road's annual street party, so we decided to make these Pinwheel Pizzas. I say we, I was mostly still asleep during the dough making process at 7.30am on Sunday morning, but I feel my contribution of furiously fanning the fire alarm with a copy of Harpers Bazaar when James accidentally set it off was sufficient to allow me to consider these partly mine!

The recipe is quite straight forward, it's basically like making a pizza version of a Swiss roll! We used this Waitrose Pizza Dough recipe and then smothered it in tomato puree, pepperoni, mozzarella and grated cheese, rolled it up like a swiss roll, sliced it up and shoved them in the oven for 15 minutes at 220 degrees C. They tasted pretty damn good, and got eaten really quickly at the party!

These look so much more appetising than those little mini pizzas you get from the buffet section.

These turned out so well! Sound delicious too. I think the main hindrance to me making these would be the dough-making bit, haha. Maybe I could use puff pastry or something like that instead.

Fanning the fire alarm is a crucial step in every recipe. Consider them yours :-)
