Manhattan Nest started as a blog about blogger Daniel's diy Manhattan apartment. A move to Brooklyn followed that, but more recently he's taken on a complete renovation of a giant Victorian house in the Hudson Valley, and it's such a fascinating read. I love his writing style which is so friendly and approachable, and his ability to make places look amazing on a shoe-string budget is seriously inspiring. Whenever a new post appears I just gobble it up and immediately want to pick up a paintbrush!
Door Sixteen started out as another renovation blog, and though the renovation is nearly done now (or as done as looking after an old house can ever be!), I really love Anna's style, and how her blog has evolved from being a pure homey blog to a lifestyle blog with a bit of everything from skincare to vegan cooking.
My Scandinavian Home is my go to blog for serious design eye candy. I am totally obsessed with the midcentury Scandinavian look, and this blog is probably to blame for my obsession with painting everything white and endlessly trawling ebay for 1950s design classics. Scandinavians just do everything better.
Stylizimo is a blog that shares the perfect mix of inspirational perfectly styled homes and photos of Nina's own home, which makes you believe that the perfection in magazines really is achievable in your own place. Well, I don't think I could ever be that tidy, but it gives me some hope anyway!
Finally sfgirlbybay is pretty much the grandmama of design blogs for me. It's the one that really started off my obsession with home and design blogs, and the one I always look forward to a new post from. Victoria's taste is just impeccable in my eyes, she can do no wrong.
