Leather & Lace

Oh goodness, it's December! How unprepared am I for Christmas? Answer - very. I panic bought a lot of presents this weekend but that's about it. To make matters worse I am being sent all over the place for the next two weeks for work (Dublin and Loughborough) arriving back the day of the Christmas party - not ideal! I am looking forward to going to Ireland however, as I've never been. I won't really have any time for sight seeing but any restaurant recommendations are very welcome - please let me know in the comments!

This outfit was photographed in my house, hopefully the last time I will visit it before it has skirting boards and floors finally, and we can move in! It's quite a different look to the last outfit I photographed with these trousers which was all about mixing textures and cosy knits with leather. This is more of a Christmas party or pub trip outfit, with big heels, leather and lace and some sparkle courtesy of Lovett and Co who make stunning vintage style jewellery.

Lovely outfit, looks great on you. I don't envy all your travelling but I think I'm pretty much done with all my Xmas shopping now.

Pretty classy outfit Harriet, I wouldn't usually think those kind of legging are these days but you have made them so. December gets a bit mad, I'm in a similar situ with jobs, xmas dos and what not. Ireland sounds good though, I've been to Dublin once but a very long time again.

Very vampy - I love it! That's exciting news about your house - at least work trips will keep you busy so by the time you come back there will be lots of progress to see :) x

Lace and leather! I think they look perfect together.

And on the Ireland part. I'm not sure you're already there or not and I'm not an expert (living in Turkey and all) but I was in Dublin a couple of weeks ago. As I said, it was just a little trip and I'm not a local but a couple of places comes to my mind. First one was Cup Café which was in South Leinster St I think (Close to Trinity College). I loved the coffee there. Close to that place, I remember a place called Pig's Ear with great food. Also we've been to more than a few pubs like Porterhouse in Temple Bar area, with live music every evening and their own brew. I might dig into my travel journal if you have time to visit places but I'm sure Dubliners can also help you being the friendliest of people.

I know it's a business trip but have fun!
