Bleaurgh, it's back to work day for me (and I expect a lot of people), but my morning routine has been made a little brighter by a few (ok, a lot) new makeup and beauty bits. I got some cash from my parents for Christmas (thanks guys!) and dropped some serious dough on Feel Unique.
These are a mixture of things I've wanted to try for a while and impulse sale purchases. And a few things which fit both categories. Clockwise from top left:
Nuxe Prodigieux Gift Set - I've been wanting to try something from Nuxe for a while so this giftset which was in the sale seemed like the perfect opportunity. My skin has been really dry recently, and so I'm hoping this set containing their famous multi use dry oil and a body lotion, along with a candle will do some good.
Emma Hardie Merrily Moringa Gift Set (now sold out I think) - this is another brand I've wanted to try for a while afte seeing so many bloggers rave about it. It's pretty pricey usually and I didn't want to spend full price on something I wasn't sure would suit my skin, so I was pretty pleased to pick up with little sample size plus muslin cloth for only £8.
Ren Stop Being so Sensitive Giftset - I already know I love Ren products and as my skin has been really sensitive lately I am hoping this will help out. It promises to not only be formulated for really sensitive skin, but to reduce skin sensitivity too, so fingers crossed.
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in Rouge Feu - is it possible to fall in love with a lipstick? Because I think I have. I've not even tried out the colour yet because it feels too beautiful to use, I just sit and gaze at it. Definitely an impulse sale purchase but it just makes me happy!
By Terry Ombre Blackstar Melting Eyeshadow in Misty Rock - another blogger favourite I have wanted to try out for ages. I love cream eyeshadows, and having tried and been a bit disappointed by the high street dupes for this, it's time to try the real thing.
Sigma F80 - Flat Kabuki - My trusty Real Techniques buffing brush is looking a bit worn out, so I've been looking for a new foundation brush, and picked this up on a bit of a whim. I know Sigma brushes are generally well reviewed, but I haven't tried any before. So far I am a big fan. It's really soft and dense and gives a great streak free coverage. I haven't washed it yet, which always feels like the true test of a makeup brush, but so far I like!
